Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party (GAGOP) Josh McKoon recently announced his appointment of Dennis Futch to serve as vice chairman of the GAGOP Finance Committee and chairman of a new initiative launched by the party.
“As we remain laser focused on firing Joe Biden next year, we know that improved margins and increased turnout in rural Georgia is a key component to victory,” McKoon said in a statement. “Dennis Futch is the right man to help us build out the strategy to win big in rural Georgia next year. The Rural Mobilization Initiative is all about development and execution of a strategy to both improve our margins and increase voter turnout. I’m very excited to work with Dennis on this effort!”
McKoon also cited Futch’s “years of financial and fundraising expertise” as his decision to name him the new vice chairman of the GAGOP Finance Committee.
Futch (pictured above) said, “As a proud Republican and a longtime business leader, I believe that increasing grassroots efforts across Georgia is a vital priority going into 2024. If we come Together and increase Republican voter participation across rural Georgia by 0.75% we will have the margin to win statewide. I am honored to be appointed to these roles by Chairman McKoon and grateful for the opportunity to help save America, I look forward to the work ahead of us!”
Futch currently serves as chairman of the Colquitt County GOP. He previously ran for GAGOP chairman but lost the election to McKoon.
After his loss to McKoon, Futch released a statement at the time saying he “will work with Chairman Josh McKoon to retire sleepy Joe and return sanity to America in 2024.”
