Ohio GOP Hangs ‘Missing’ Posters Outside Democratic National Convention Venue Highlighting U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown’s Notable Absence

The Ohio Republican Party is highlighting U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown’s (D-OH) notable absence from the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week by placing “Missing” posters outside the convention’s main venue in the Windy City.

The Ohio GOP hung posters with Brown’s face outside the United Center that read:

MISSING: Radical Liberal Sherrod Brown

LAST SEEN: Cutting Your Retirement Benefits[,] Hiding From Kamala Harris’ Radical Record[,] Opening the Southern Border[,] Destroying Ohio Manufacturing Jobs

WARNING: Sherrod has a tendency to play make believe. Despite voting with Kamala Harris 99% of the time, he thinks skipping a convention will make him a “moderate.”

IF FOUND, PROCEED WITH CAUTION: HE WILL RAISE YOUR TAXES THE FIRST CHANCE HE GETS

“With all of his best friends in Chicago, we wanted to help them find Sherrod Brown! So we sent a rescue team to put up posters to remind Democrats that Sherrod is still missing from his Party’s biggest event,” the Ohio GOP said in a press release. “Sherrod still hasn’t made his way to the United Center and we are sure that Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and Joe Biden are very concerned that he isn’t there to celebrate their accomplishments together.”

Brown, who has been found to have attended every Democratic National Convention since 1994, is not attending this year’s convention, which has been seen as an effort by the senator to distance himself from the party’s 2024 presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, and vice presidential nominee, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Despite Brown being one of the more than 30 congressional Democrats who called on President Joe Biden to exit the 2024 race, the incumbent senator has since distanced himself from the Harris-Walz campaign – seemingly in an effort to save his own reelection chances against Republican nominee Bernie Moreno, who is endorsed by former President Donald Trump.

Nevertheless, Brown, who has served in the Senate since 2007, has been found to have voted with Harris 84 percent of the time while she served in the U.S. Senate, according to a report by Fox News.

Brown and Harris were found to have co-sponsored nearly 500 pieces of legislation together while they were colleagues in the Senate, including bills pushing anti-police and pro-illegal immigration policies.

Brown has also been found to have voted with the Biden administration 99 percent of the time from 2021 to 2023, according to data collected and published by VoteView.
