Tennessee senators celebrated President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office.
During this time period, Trump has been very active.
For example, the president signed a record number of executive orders, 142. Former President Franklin Roosevelt previously held the record at 99, according to CBS News.
These executive orders have ranged from declaring transnational criminal organizations to be foreign terrorists, declaring an emergency at the border, issuing tariffs to address America’s trade imbalance, and ending the federal government’s diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
In addition, Congress passed the Laken Riley Act, which allows law enforcement to detain illegal immigrants charged with theft, burglary, larceny, or shoplifting.
Also, during Trump’s first 100 days, he ended the emergency at the southern border. In February and March, the United States saw fewer than 20,000 encounters at this location.
Blackburn, reacting to Trump’s first 100 days, said it could be summed up in four words: “promises, made promises kept.” The senator said the president is entering America into a “new Golden Age.”
“In just 100 days, President Trump has stopped the invasion of illegal aliens into our country, restored common sense in the federal government, supercharged investments in both Tennessee and America’s economies, unleashed American energy, protected women in sports, and is rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse across our institutions,” she said.
“The lives of Tennesseans and Americans are made better because of President Trump’s willingness to put America first at every turn, and I congratulate him on a remarkable start to his administration,” the senator added.
Bill Hagerty went on Fox Business’ Mornings With Maria to discuss Trump’s first 100 days in office.
He said that these first 100 days were the “most effective” and “most impactful” a president has ever had during his lifetime.
Hagerty added that Trump has fixed the border and put America “on a fundamentally different plane in terms of crime.”
“We’re moving in the right direction, and I think that the Democrat Party is imploding as a result of it,” he explained.

I can celebrate President Trump’s achievements, BUT I am underwhelmed by the failure of Congress to do its part. The GOP NEVER takes decisive action when they control Congress. Lots of hot air but no action. That goes for both houses.
