Republican Party Platform Committee Chair Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) applauded the Republican National Committee (RNC) passing of former President Donald Trump’s 2024 Republican Party Platform on Monday.
The new party platform is an agenda consisting of 20 promises Republicans intend to deliver on in the case Trump is elected back to the White House and Republicans obtain majorities in both the U.S. House and U.S. Senate.

“The job of the chair is to orchestrate the platform committee meeting, and I am so proud the delegates passed Donald J. Trump’s platform,” Blackburn said in a statement.
Florida U.S. Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL-06), who co-chaired the committee with Blackburn, said the newly-adopted platform is a “document that the American people can get behind.”
The Republican Party’s adoption of the 2024 platform comes eight years since it adopted its last platform in 2016. The party did not adopt a new platform in 2020.
Members of the RNC’s Platform Committee will hold a vote behind closed doors Tuesday to officially adopt the new platform.
The 20 commitments laid out in the drafted version of the 2024 platform include:

- LARGE TAX CUTS FOR WORKERS, AND NO TAX ON TIPS!
- DEFEND OUR CONSTITUTION, OUR BILL OF RIGHTS, AND OUR FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS, INCLUDING FREEDOM OF SPEECH, FREEDOM OF RELIGION, AND THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS
- PREVENT WORLD WAR THREE, RESTORE PEACE IN EUROPE AND IN THE MIDDLE EAST, AND BUILD A GREAT IRON DOME MISSILE DEFENSE SHIELD OVER OUR ENTIRE COUNTRY — ALL MADE IN AMERICA
- END THE WEAPONIZATION OF GOVERNMENT AGAINST THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

The platform is dedicated to the “Forgotten Men and Women of America.”
Trump Campaign Senior Advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said the new platform “articulates” Trump’s “vision to Make America Great Again in a way that is concise and digestible for every voter.”
“Only President Trump can restore our economy, restore our Southern Border, and restore America’s standing in the world,” RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump added. “His 2024 Republican Party Platform is a bold roadmap that will undo the devastating damage that Joe Biden’s far-left policies have done to this country, power President Trump to a historic victory in November, and Make America Great Again.
