From Watch Parties to Street Fairs, Tuesday’s Official Launch of President Trump’s 2020 Re-Election Campaign Promises to Have Something for Everyone

The long-awaited kickoff to President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign for 2020 has finally arrived and much like the president himself, it is turning out to be the first of its kind, anywhere. The event – an all day affair Tuesday dubbed “45 Fest” – is already setting records as organizers prepare for President Trump’s arrival at Orlando’s Amway Center tonight at 8pm, and will be carried live online and on air. Like most campaign-style rallies, the Trump campaign is making accommodations for supporters unable to get into the 20,000-seat arena. “We are building large movie screens outside to take care of everybody. Over 100,000 requests. Our Country is doing great, far beyond what the haters & losers thought possible – and it will only get better!” the president tweeted Monday. Big Rally tomorrow night in Orlando, Florida, looks to be setting records. We are building large movie screens outside to take care of everybody. Over 100,000 requests. Our Country is doing great, far beyond what the haters & losers thought possible – and it will only get better! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 17, 2019 In anticipation of what President Trump promises to be “a very exciting evening,” supporters began…

Commentary: Can Democrats #Resist Their Own Ruling Class in 2020?

by Jeffrey A. Rendall   Hill-a-reeee! Hill-a-reeee! Hill-a-reeee! Upon hearing this you might assume you’re comatose and slowly waking to the sounds of a nightmarish 2016 Hillary Clinton “With Her!” rally, but it’s definitely not three years ago and rumors are flying – once again – that the Democrat maven is seriously pondering a third (and hopefully final!) try at the presidency next year…all because of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his stupid witch hunt investigation. Diana Stancy Correll reported on the fantasy sequence at The Washington Examiner over the weekend, “Although no campaign is underway yet, CNN senior White House correspondent Jeff Zeleny said on CNN’s ‘Inside Politics’ Sunday that Clinton has started to discuss a third potential presidential bid. “’So Hillary Clinton is telling people that she’s not closing the doors to the idea of running in 2020,’ Zeleny said. ‘Let’s just let that sink in.’ “Zeleny said that three people told him that as recently as this week, Clinton was telling people that she hadn’t definitively decided against running in 2020, especially given recent indictments of those close to President Trump, including his longtime adviser Roger Stone… [and] Clinton would likely capitalize on the fact that she…

Iowa Attorney Jim Larew Talks to The Tennessee Star Report About Possible 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidates

On Friday’s Tennessee Star Report with Steve Gill and Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 am to 8:00 am – the Star Team chatted with Iowa attorney, Jim Larew about his thoughts of who will run as a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. Larew served as general counsel for former Iowa Governor Chet Culver, a Democrat, from 2007 to 2011, and simultaneously as chief of staff from 2010 to 2011. At the conclusion of the show, Larew offered a very interesting psychological interpretation as it pertains to who will break out from the pack, breaking the process down to that of “celebrity status” within the party. Leahy: You know, Elizabeth Warren is in Iowa and we have a good friend from many years ago, a leading attorney in Iowa, a Democrat, Jim Larew on the line with us. Jim, welcome to the Tennessee Star Report! Larew: Well, thank you it’s been a long time, nice to hear from you. Leahy: It’s been a long time. We went to college together.  We were roommates in Washington, D.C. one summer when you were working for Senator John Culver (D-IA). Larew: That’s right.  You may know, that…

Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown Takes Next Step Towards a Run for President, Picks His Campaign Slogan

by Molly Prince   Democratic Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown has chosen his campaign slogan for a potential presidential run while he is still mulling over a challenge to President Donald Trump in 2020. Brown, notable for his “rumpled” image and more than 40-year public service tenure in Ohio, is exhibiting his midwestern liberal populism with a concise slogan: “The Dignity of Work,” reported Politico on Wednesday. “Ohio will respond to a message of the dignity of work,” said the Ohio senator. “It’s gonna be harder in 2020 than Michigan and Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, but it always has been.” Democrats eyeing a potential 2020 presidential run have largely focused on the rust belt, which helped elect Trump in 2016. Brown nearly stands alone as one of the possible contenders who has a successful track record in the region. While Trump won Ohio by 8 points against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Brown beat out his Republican challenger in the 2018 midterm election by just over 6 points. In fact, he was the only Democrat to win statewide in 2018, aside from judicial candidates. The Ohio senator conceded that he hasn’t definitively made up his mind whether or not he is officially launching…
