Georgia GOP Announces Updated Asian Pacific American Advisory Board

Members of the Georgia Republican Party this week announced a newly-updated Asian Pacific American Advisory Board.

This, according to a press release that members of the Georgia GOP emailed Monday.

The Advisory Board includes distinguished community leaders whose immediate focus involves getting out the vote for U.S. Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) and U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) within the APA community, the announcement said.

“Under President Trump and the Republican Senate, Asian Pacific Americans have seen vast economic growth and the lowest recorded unemployment rates in history,” Georgia GOP Executive Director Stewart Bragg said in the statement.

“Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock would undo all of these accomplishments through a radical, socialist agenda. Asian Pacific Americans in Georgia know what is at stake in this run-off election and we are grateful to have so many community leaders working together to get out the vote for Senators Loeffler and Perdue.”

The Georgia Republican Party Asian Pacific American Advisory Board members, according to the press release, include:

Yes, Every Kid

Rick Desai: Indian American Community Lead

• Thuy Hotle: Vietnamese American Community Lead

Sunny Park: Korean American Community  Lead

• Sunny Wong: Chinese American Community Lead

This board will build upon the work of Georgia Trump Victory — the combined effort of the Republican National Committee, the Trump Campaign, and the Georgia GOP, the press release said.

“During the 2020 General Election, Georgia Trump Victory held numerous events, trainings and GOTV efforts centered around various APA communities. Thanks to these efforts, Asian Pacific Americans swung 11 points nationally against Radical Democrats and Socialism relative to 2016,” the press release said.

“Now, in conjunction with the National Republican Senatorial Committee, they are continuing to work together to send Senators Loeffler and Perdue back to Washington.”

As reported, Perdue and Loeffler are on the January 5, 2021 ballot for the U.S. Senate against Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, respectively. Who wins will determine whether Republicans or Democrats have majority control over the U.S. Senate.
