Columbus Venture Capitalist Mark Kvamme Endorses Bernie Moreno for U.S. Senate

Columbus venture capitalist Mark Kvamme, who many Republicans thought to be a potential GOP contender to run for U.S. Senate against Ohio Democratic U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in 2024, announced that he would not be running for Senate and instead endorsed Republican businessman Bernie Moreno.

Moreno previously filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run for Senate in 2024 and to challenge Democratic incumbent Brown. He officially announced his campaign last week, saying that it’s time for a new generation of political outsiders to come in and get the job done to put America First.

Ohio Senate Candidate Proposes Reparations for White Descendants of Union Civil War Soldiers

Ohio GOP Senate candidate Bernie Moreno proposed at a campaign event this week that white descendants of Northern Civil War soldiers be eligible for reparations. “We stand at the shoulders of giants, don’t we? We stand on shoulders of people like John Adams, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, George Washington. That this group of people took on the largest empire in history. They said no, we will not stand for this. And won,” Moreno said earlier this week, according to the New York Post.

Ohio Republican Party Says If U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown Cared About Ohio He Would Not Help Fund Biden’s Radical Agenda

The Ohio Republican Party said in a press release Tuesday that if U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) cared about the working people of Ohio, he would cooperate with Republicans on the other side of the political aisle to restrict spending and reduce costs rather than take money out of Ohioans’ pockets to fund President Joe Biden’s radical agenda.

Ohio Republican businessman Bernie Moreno has filed to run for Senate in 2024 and will challenge Democratic incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown.

“Today, Bernie filed paperwork with the FEC [Federal Election Commission] as he continues to explore a run for U.S. Senate,” a source told NBC News. “Over the past few weeks, Bernie has talked with voters, business leaders, conservative activists and donors throughout the state and has received overwhelming encouragement to run.”

Bernie Moreno, a businessman and GOP candidate to replace retiring Senator Rob Portman (R-OH), announced on Tuesday a massive fundraising haul to end the quarter — totaling $2.25 million.

Moreno’s donations greatly outnumber the totals of his opponents on both the Republican and Democratic side. The closest candidate was Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH-13), who is running largely unopposed.
