GALLATIN — Donald Trump Jr. told a crowd in Gallatin Tuesday that Tennessee Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bill Hagerty “was on the Trump train before it was politically expedient.” And that, Trump went on to say, is why his dad, U.S. Republican President Donald Trump, endorsed Hagerty so early in the campaign. Trump and his girlfriend, former FOX News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, spoke at a fundraiser for Hagerty at Gallatin’s EPIC Event Centre. Gallatin is Hagerty’s hometown. “It is safe to say that in a Republican primary today, unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for four or five years, my father’s endorsement is a pretty big deal,” Trump told the audience. “I also understand how primary politics works, and it’s not so easy. You never know what really happens. I can’t think of another individual who has been endorsed this early by my father. That’s everything you need to know. My father trusts him. He believes in him, as Bill believed in him when so few actually did.” Hagerty, meanwhile, described himself as a fourth-generation Tennessean who grew up raising cattle and pigs. Hagerty said he’s running to replace the retiring U.S. Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander because he…

Bill Hagerty Commentary: Stand With President Trump for the Right to Life
As a fourth-generation Tennessean, I am proud of the Christian, conservative values that my parents instilled in my life and that I continue to hold dear. One of those values, that is so important to me, is the right to life. Tennesseans value life; we believe that all people – born or unborn – are valued.

Bill Hagerty, the former Ambassador to Japan under President Trump and candidate for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in Tennessee, blasted Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) for failing to defend President Trump on Friday’s edition of The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 am to 8:00 am. “Mitt is flat wrong” in his statements on the issue of impeachment, Hagerty told Leahy. “Mitt Romney hasn’t yet decided whether President Donald Trump should be impeached, but the Republican senator from Utah on Thursday stuck by criticism that has earned him a stream of insults from Trump on Twitter,” the Associated Press reported early Friday morning. In his in-studio interview with Leahy on Friday, Hagerty made it clear that Romney’s failure to oppose the impeachment of President Trump is a big mistake for Romney, for Republicans, and for the country as a whole. “I think the Democrats have been hell bent on impeaching this president from day one,” Hagerty told Leahy. “The Democrats can not stand the fact that they lost 2016. This is just another iteration of that,” he continued. “That has been extremely troubling. It should be…

Read the full storyBill Hagerty Commentary: Democrats Call for Impeachment, While Trump Puts America First
by Bill Hagerty Another week, another set of Democrats calling to impeach President Donald J. Trump. As usual, they are propelled by the liberal media’s latest antics. Now, 165 Democrats (and counting), including both of Tennessee’s Democratic congressmen have joined the call. That is a clear majority of House Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi and “The Squad,” who are calling for impeachment. It’s a continuation of what we’ve seen every day since Tuesday, November 8, 2016, when the American people sent Donald Trump to the White House. Ever since that day, radical liberals have refused to accept that Hillary Clinton lost. They have focused on tearing him down, rather than working with him to make life better for Tennesseans. Unfortunately, their calls for impeachment are more than just political talking points. Their investigations are real, and therefore, so is their waste of taxpayer dollars. The House Judiciary Committee held its first impeachment hearing last week, and the American people were once again bombarded by the Left’s political antics. It’s a disgrace and an insult to the will of the people. They will continue their fight to impeach our President, but they won’t stop there. They want to impeach a…

Bill Hagerty, a candidate for U.S. Senate in Tennessee, criticized Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN-05) in a Tuesday statement for joining Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN-09) in calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump. Hagerty, President Trump’s former U.S. ambassador to Japan, said it was “disappointing” to see Cooper embrace “the Squad and other radical liberals’ call for impeachment.” “A clear majority of House Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi and ‘The Squad,’ are calling for impeachment, and now that includes both of Tennessee’s Democrat Congressman,” Hagerty said in a press release. “It’s disappointing to see both Jim Cooper and Steve Cohen join in tearing down President Trump, rather than working with him to make life better for Tennessee families.” “As your Senator, I will help President Trump keep winning for Tennessee families, and I will always stand with him against the radical socialist agenda that seeks to destroy our conservative values,” he added. The statement comes in response to the growing number of moderate Democrats who are coming out in support of pursuing an impeachment inquiry. As reported Tuesday morning, two Minnesota Democrats representing suburban swing districts released statements in support of impeachment. The growing support for impeachment is based…

Over the weekend, another disgraceful smear campaign was launched against Brett Kavanaugh. It was a continuation of the politically-motivated, baseless attacks we saw last year by Democrats who would do anything to stop constitutionalist judges from being confirmed to the Supreme Court. The cavalier approach and carelessness of The New York Times and the role it played to launch this smear campaign reveals something very disturbing. Journalistic responsibility takes a back seat when salacious, unsubstantiated claims can be deployed to advance the liberal agenda.
