Trump Lawyer Sought Contracts from Candidates, Cabinet Seeker While Advising President-Elect

One of Donald Trump’s closest advisers Boris Epshteyn solicited political candidates, a defense contractor and at least one potential Cabinet nominee for lucrative consulting contracts at the same time he was being paid by the Trump campaign and advising the President-elect on legal matters, nominations and political communications, according to interviews and documents reviewed by Just the News. One of those who was pitched by Epshteyn for both a consulting contract and an investment opportunity was Scott Bessent, the hedge fund manager named Friday night by Trump as his nominee for Treasury Secretary. Bessent rejected the overtures and eventually, when asked, reported concerns about them to the Trump transition team, including Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.

Trump Advisers Propose Private Agency, Not FBI, Issue Security Clearances to Appointees: Report

A group of at least six advisers to Donald Trump are reportedly circulating a memo that proposes the GOP presidential nominee, if elected, be allowed to issue security clearances to his appointees without the normal FBI background-check process.

The advisers include Boris Epshteyn, a legal adviser to Trump who is involved in his 2024 campaign, sources told The New York Times, which reported the story on Sunday.

Fani Willis Seeks Testimony from Trump Ally Boris Epshteyn in First Georgia 2020 Election Trial

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) is seeking testimony from lawyer and political consultant Boris Epshteyn in the trial of lawyers Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell, according to a court filing made public Thursday.

Willis wants a Washington, D.C. judge to force Epshteyn, a longtime ally of former President Donald Trump, to testify about actions taken by Chesebro and Powell during Trump’s challenge of the 2020 election results. Fulton County promised Epshteyn will not be prosecuted for any information gleaned from his testimony.

Trump Questions ‘Credibility’ of Fulton County After Grand Jury Recommended Charges for Lt. Gov. Jones, Former Georgia Senators

Former President Donald Trump released a statement expressing further doubts in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and her office, after the grand jury report for the racketeering case against him was made public. The report revealed that, in addition to the 19 charged by Willis, charges were recommended for additional 20 people, including Georgia Lt. Governor Burt Jones, former Republican Georgia Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

Trump wrote that the grand jury report has “zero credibility and badly taints” Willis, and her case against him, in a post on Truth Social. The report, according to Trump, “undermines the credibility of the findings, and badly hurts the Great State of Georgia.”

Former Trump Campaign Advisor Boris Epshteyn Predicts States Will Decertify 2020 Election Results

Boris Epshteyn, attorney and former strategic advisor to the 2020 Trump Campaign, predicted that many states will decertify their election results for the November 2020 election.

In an interview with Gina Loudon, Epshteyn said the series of audits that may occur could lead to the reversal. Additionally, there is no language in the Constitution that prevents such a move.
