California Gov. Gavin Newsom Apparently a No-Show at Tennessee Democratic Party Fundraiser in Nashville

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) was apparently a no-show at this past Saturday’s Tennessee Democratic Party fundraiser held in Nashville.

On August 15, the Tennessee Democratic Party issued a press release announcing Newsom as a featured speaker for the August 26 event.

That same day, the party’s official account on X (formerly Twitter) confirmed Newsom’s scheduled appearance:

The last mention on Facebook pushing Newsom’s appearance was on Wednesday, August 18 – eight days before the annual fundraiser.

On the following Wednesday, the 23rd, the Party posted “Sounds about right” in response to a tweet by Newsom criticizing Tennessee.

Yes, Every Kid

“The GOP’s playbook in Tennessee,” the tweet began.

1) Kick out peaceful moms.

2) Keep guns in the room.

2) Continue to do nothing to stop children from being gunned down and slaughtered

On the day of the event, Newsom tweeted about the shooting in Jacksonville.

“Disgusting” he wrote. “Another racist rampage by a homegrown terrorist with easy access to firearms.

He continued:

Jacksonville, California stands with you.

America’s diverse communities are under attack. We cannot remain silent.

Meanwhile, an extensive collection of images of the Tennessee Democratic Party Three Star Dinner posted on the party’s official website shows no pictures of Newsom in attendance.

Sources tell The Tennessee Star that Newsom did not attend the event. One source speculated that Gov. Newsom’s travel outside the state may have been limited by weather problems associated with Tropical Storm Hilary, which hit the California coast on Sunday, August 20.

The Star asked The Tennessee Democratic Party as well as Governor Newsom’s office via email on Wednesday to confirm or deny his non-attendance, and to explain why he did not attend – but as of press time received no response from either organization.

Lacking Governor Newsom’s star power, the featured speakers at the event included Nashville Mayor John Cooper, State Rep. Justin Jones (D-Nashville), State Rep. Justin Pearson (D-Memphis), and State Rep. Gloria Johnson (D-Knoxville).

As President Joe Biden’s public approval ratings falter in light of his advanced age, weak communication skills, allegations that he and his son Hunter Biden operated an extensive influence peddling operation that compromised America’s foreign policy, and weaponization of the Department of Justice against his predecessor and leading political opponent, former President Donald Trump, speculation has mounted that Gov. Newsom is waiting in the wings to replace Biden as the Democrat Party’s standard bearer in the 2024 Presidential election.

A scheduled debate on Fox News’ Sean Hannity Show in October between Newsom and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has added fuel to that speculation.

Face it folks this man has already been selected to be our next President. The only peaceful solution is at the state level and we TN Citizens for State Sovereignty is a group that will hold our state elected officials accountable. We have organized to push legislation that has already been written and sponsored for 2024 to create a process in which to invoke Nullificaiton. It is time we put the federal government back in their lane. They have only 18 enumerated powers. They are not the final arbiter of the Constitution. The state is the final arbiter. The Supreme Court is NOT the final arbiter either. They have no constitutional authority to hear any case that does not fall under their 18 enumerated powers. The same 18 enumerated powers the entire federal government is limited to act upon. We have allowed them to brainwash people into believing we work for them and it is the other way around. The states created the federal government and the state has the authority to refuse to comply any and all unconstitutional laws, EOs, regulations, treaties.
