A high-ranking official with the Tennessee Department of Education — who is new to the job and previously worked in California — has a resume that includes pushing for math equity.
This, according to Breitbart.com.
Math Equity is the concept that working to answer a question correctly constitutes racism and white supremacy.
This woman, Rachael Maves, reportedly began working for the Tennessee Department of Education in September. Maves previously served as deputy superintendent for instruction and measurement for the California Department of Education.
“During her time in California, Maves promoted that state’s controversial revision of its mathematics framework, one that seeks to train K-12 math teachers that ‘white supremacy culture infiltrates math classrooms in everyday teacher actions,’” Breitbart reported.
“The San Francisco Chronicle reported in May, Maves supported the California department’s recommendation to push Algebra 1 out of middle school and delay access to that course until high school, which would eliminate the tracking of students into accelerated math programs in middle school.”
Officials within the State of Virginia government announced this year that they would eliminate all accelerated math courses in the state’s public schools before the 11th grade. This, ostensibly as part of an “equity” plan to make math classes easier for all races.
In August, Deborah Ball, a mathematics professor at the University of Michigan, said that the discipline inflicts racism against black and Latino students.
“It’s difficult to figure out how to surface and unpack the ways that mathematics, for example, is a harbor for whiteness,” Ball said at the time.
In July, Representative Steve Cohen (D-TN-09) introduced a bill that he said will increase diversity in Advanced Placement (AP) and Gifted and Talented Elementary (GT) classes.
Cohen also said his bill would use Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) funding to create equity offices in state departments of education to increase diversity in AP and GT programs.
Cohen called his bill the Diversity Advancements in Accelerated Academic Programs Act.

I’m sure Gov. Bill Lee will get right on this……never. Just like he reined in his Commissioner of Ed. Bill likes to have woke commissioners and administrators in his administration. That’s the way he rolls. Between the Gov and Legislature I’m not sure which is more spineless and mushy. It’s a contest between them.
Heck, Lee apparently has never reigned in Schwinn on anything. She was his first major hire and she came from Cal Berkley through Texas. So it makes complete sense that she would hire Maves. He might be too busy pushing ways to spend more tax dollars for corporation such as Ford and for even more costly public schools before he gets run out of office in a couple of years. I sure hope that we can survive that long.
We should use “Math equity” to calculate Rachael Maves’ paycheck, generating a bill instead of a check. If she complains, call her a racist.
Rachael Maves is a direct threat to every child in Tennessee. She must be sent back to California where she belongs.
Give her a one way ticket back to California…

The Democrat Party only needs to control THE most populous counties in any given state (ONLY the ones with the biggest cities, most Democrat controlled. by now), to control the state’s legislature, and therefore… the COMPLETE state’s direction, Including Electoral Votes, Rights, Freedoms, and even rezoning. Just… the biggest cities. That’s all they need to convert Tennessee. The Democrat Party already controls Memphis, Nashville, and Chattanooga. As those cities massively growing crime rates display; since crime growth is The Democrat Party way, for ALL their medium-to-big sized cities.
Especially vulnerable, are states like Tennessee, where the big cities are ALREADY under Democrat Party control. As plainly as this Tennessee Department of Education, Chief of Performance and Preparation, Rachael Maves, proves, beyond doubt.
These areas of massive populations, are where the DEMOCRATS are focusing their sociopolitical push of non-educational thoughts into TN children’s minds, via the school system, to control their future identities, thoughts, choices, and futures, all THROUGH the socialist Democrat Party controlled Department of Education… and the very schools OUR TAXES PAY FOR! Exactly as we see here with THIS story.
Take action, Speak out. More fathers and mothers need to get involved in their children’s educations, with regard to school meetings, reading their child’s curriculum, looking at their homework assignments, etc. DO NOT accept things like CRT, and watch OUR state!
Tennessee is under attack, by the Democrat Party, to control the Presidential Elections, Tennesseans’ freedoms and Rights, and control ALL our paths. — And it is, absolutely, the wrong path.
Fire this Tennessee Department of Education, Chief of Performance and Preparation Officer, Rachael Maves, and see that, Rachael Maves, becomes unhireable within this state due to her self-destructive ideals that would negatively affect any organization she encumbers.
— You have been warned. This is all happening, now. Our taxes are paying her salary and benefits. You are all paying this woman to break your children into sheeple.
