A Murfreesboro, Tennessee boxing event featuring nearly a dozen fitness celebrities, “Rumble in the Boro,” raised over $50,000 for children’s charities last weekend. 100 percent of the profits will be distributed to four charities that benefit children: Legacy of Valor Endowment, Shepherd, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and WithLove.
Marc Lobliner, MTS Nutrition CEO and famed fitness influencer, created and hosted the event. In an interview with The Tennessee Star, Lobliner shared that each of the charities featured would receive well over $10,000. He added that they were still collecting money from an auction and companies submitting checks.
“A lot of these children’s charities get overlooked – that’s why I spotlighted these charities,” said Lobliner.

Lobliner said that there was an unanticipated benefit that came out of the event: enjoying community after the 2020 pandemic shutdowns and restrictions.
“Not only did we have a great charity event – we got people together again. We brought it back to 2019, and I think people needed that,” said Lobliner. “A lot of people drove in from blue states and they got to interact with people, hug people, and enjoy some local food. I think after what happened in 2020, it was good to have people feeling normal and getting a mental break from [it all].”
Some of the featured fighters included a total of four winners of Mr. Olympia, the world-renowned, international body-building competition: Jay Cutler, Brandon Curry, Flex Louis, and Shawn Rhoden.
“It was quite an eclectic fitness scene,” said Lobliner. “We had fights going on for eight straight hours.”
Also in attendance was Robby Starbuck, one of Tennessee’s 2022 Republican Congressional candidates. As The Star reported, Starbuck announced in December that he would be running to take over Representative Jim Cooper’s (D-TN-05) seat.
Lobliner credited Starbuck for assisting in the fundraising efforts at Rumble in the Boro.
“My bro @robbystarbuck came out and showed love at Rumble in the Boro and helped raise over $50k for kids with cancer!” wrote Lobliner. “He will be running for Congress in the 5th district in Tennessee to beat that crooked idiot Cooper. He has our support – great man!”

Lobliner informed The Star that Rumble in the Boro would be an annual event.
