The Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce and xAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) company owned by Elon Musk, announced on Friday the company’s purchase of an $80 million, 1-million-square-foot building in Memphis, Tennessee, to expand facilities for its Colossus supercomputer, which is reportedly set to become the largest in the world.
A press release by the Greater Memphis Chamber announced the acquisition by xAI, which it said is part of Musk’s effort to expand on its Colossus supercomputer project in the southwest part of the city.
