Bill Hagerty Schedules Town Hall with Donald Trump’s National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow

Bill Hagerty announced this week he will host a telephone town hall with Larry Kudlow, President Donald Trump’s director for the National Economic Council.

Hagerty has scheduled that town hall with the conservative economic commentator for 10 a.m. Central Standard Time and 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, April 23 according to a statement on Hagerty’s campaign website.

“I am honored Larry Kudlow will be able to answer questions from Tennesseans,” Hagerty said on his campaign’s website.

“Larry has been one of the leading conservatives on pro-growth policies for decades. In the Senate, I will work to cut taxes and ensure our Tennessee businesses have the resources they need to expand and create jobs once again.”

The website said that Kudlow is a special guest for this event and that his participation is not a solicitation of funds.

As The Tennessee Star reported last week, Hagerty released a television ad touting the candidate holding China accountable for what he called that nation’s deceitful actions as it relates to COVID-19. Hagerty said China’s leaders continue to mislead and cover up their Wuhan coronavirus data. China, Hagerty said, even accuses the United States of starting the global pandemic.

Yes, Every Kid

“The Chinese Communist regime’s efforts to conceal and destroy valuable evidence – including silencing their own people – regarding the Wuhan coronavirus is the crime of the century and the greatest coverup in human history,” Hagerty said last week.

The country must hold the Communist Chinese leaders accountable for the death and destruction leveled on their own people and for the widespread damage to the world’s health and economy, Hagerty added.

“In the Senate, I will continue to stand with President Trump to help put an end to Communist China’s deception about the origins and the impact of this deadly virus, along with holding organizations like the World Health Organization accountable for perpetuating the Communist regime’s propaganda,” Hagerty said.

The U.S. Senate candidate received President Donald Trump’s endorsement to replace the retiring Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN). Hagerty previously served as the U.S. ambassador to Japan.
