President Biden’s Visit to East Palestine Ill-Received by Residents: ‘Too Little Too Late’

Joe Biden East Palestine

President Joe Biden traveled to East Palestine, Ohio on Friday more than a year after a Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous materials derailed to meet with residents and community leaders, including East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway who called the president’s visit “long-awaited.”

Despite the president claiming on Friday that his administration “was on the ground” in East Palestine “within hours” of the train derailment, residents in East Palestine lined the town’s street with anti-Biden flags, apparel, and posters during his visit.

“Too little too late,” multiple homemade signs read.

“Unfit to be held accountable, unfit to be president,” another homemade sign read.

“Go home,” another read.

A large number of residents were also seen sporting apparel, waving flags, and holding signs in support of former President Donald Trump, who visited East Palestine to distribute water and basic necessities to residents less than a month after the derailment.

Yes, Every Kid

Trump commented on Biden’s Friday visit, writing on Truth Social, “It was such a great honor to be with the people of East Palestine immediately after the tragic event took place. I got to know so many of the people, in particular the wonderful Mayor, Trent Conaway. Biden should have gone there a long time ago—for him to go now is an insult to those who live and work in East Palestine, and the Great State of Ohio, itself.”

Trump added, “I can’t believe anyone wants him there? I know he doesn’t want to be there, and even he knows he is making a mistake, because he is pandering to people who are smart, politically savvy and, unfortunately, badly hurt by Biden’s in-actions and lack of caring. It will be so interesting to see how they meet and greet this FRAUD, and the THUGS that surround him!”
