Left Wing Group Doxxes Conservative TN GOP State Senator Who Wants to Clean up Crime Ridden Memphis

Memphis Sen Brent Taylor

A left wing group posted the personal business information of Tennessee State Senator Brent Taylor (R-Memphis) to social media on Sunday, prompting the lawmaker to reply that he does not “intimidate easily.”

In a Sunday post to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, the account Decarcerate Memphis posted a real estate listing for Taylor’s Memphis home, and gave information about the lawmaker’s private sector job as the owner of a funeral home.

Taylor, who has filed a number of bills to promote public safety and “Make Memphis Matter,” replied directly to the account on X.

“If these people think they can intimidate me by doxxing my family and me, they are sadly mistaken,” wrote Taylor to X. “I don’t intimidate easily.”

The senator lamented that having one’s personal information shared due to political disagreements is apparently fair game to opponents of tough on crime policies.

“The amount of BS someone has to go through to stand up for regular, law-abiding people and make our community safe is ridiculous,” Taylor wrote.

On its Linktree, the group describes itself as a “grassroots org in Memphis uplifting REAL safety for the people,” and highlights a report about “Driving While BIPOC,” an acronym that means black, indigenous, person of color.

The organization’s website reveals it was founded in 2020 to resist the federal government’s attempt to restore order to Memphis, and declares Decarcerate Memphis “is a coalition composed of community leaders, activists, attorneys, strategists, clergy and concerned residents” who seek the “shifting” of “power and resources from punitive measures to community-led solutions.”

It calls policing a “problematic system” and demands “funds are equitably allocated” while “resisting the criminalization of the poor.”

The group decided to share Taylor’s personal information less than one month after Taylor detailed 13 separate pieces of legislation he has filed in bids to promote public safety.

Among these are SB 2563 to make bail violations illegal, SB 2562 to strengthen judges’ ability to assign bail, SB 2565 to end the ability for judges to assign bail based on a defendant’s ability to pay, and SB 2575, which would enshrine the ability of store employees to report shoplifting to police despite any other rules set by local or corporate bodies.

Taylor outlined his legislation in a letter sent to his colleagues in the Tennessee Senate, explaining, “In my hometown, crime is the only issue. It is a serious economic development issue as much as it is a public safety issue.”

During an appearance on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy, Taylor warned Memphis must immediately address its crime surge or risk becoming the textbook “example of a failed city.”

Taylor told Leahy, the editor-in-chief of The Tennessee Star, that he’s brought other senators to Memphis to secure support for his legislation.

He explained, “And every one of them have come away and said, ‘I knew you had a crime problem in Memphis, but I had no idea it was this bad.’ And so I’ve gotten commitments from all of them to help me with bills that will make an impact in Memphis and Shelby County.”

In addition to his legislative effort, Taylor has requested investigations for judges and Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy, who he warned appear to be endangering public safety with soft-on-crime prosecutions and bail policies.

At least two of Taylor’s requests for investigations have resulted in public reprimands by the Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct (BJC), which offered stern words for Shelby County General Sessions Judge Bill Anderson and Shelby County Criminal Court Judge Paula Skahan.

I checked out “Decarcerate Memphis” website. Top 3 supporters are Al Sharpton’s group, some LGBTQP+ group and a Jewish group. Checks-out.

Memphis is VERY dangerous and I advise my family and friends to NOT go there. Seriously, if you go to Memphis, be very careful and watch your back.Take a gun if you can. Criminals drive around with guns looking for people to rob. I think it’s now the Murder Capitol of the U.S.

Google “Memphis Chamber CEO murdered” and you can read about how in 2018 the President / CEO of the Memphis Chamber was shot in the back of the head. It was a random robbery. Notice that they didn’t say “Put your hands up and give us your money”. Just killed him. He had moved Downtown to prove that Memphis was safe. Have you ever heard a story like this?
And recently a St. Jude researcher was murdered while out for a walk with his wife and daughter in daytime. Another random robbery.

The Center for Immigration Studies says Shelby County is a Sanctuary County because the Sheriff has said he won’t cooperate with ICE.

  3. Amazing how a segment of society is so determined to undermine their own very existence. It is not surprising to see how other segments have passed them by at blinding speed, essentially telling them to eat their dust. Look up “self-inflicted,” and you’ll understand. Might it be better to reach out rather than lash out?

Men, this Senator Brent Taylor is NOT conservative, at least in regards to the 2nd Amendment. He offered an amendment during the last session half that destroyed an excellent Bill sponsored by Senator John Stevens in the Senate Judiciary committee and did so with a smirk on his face.

If he cannot be trusted with this part of the Bill of Rights; with what can he be trusted?

Memphis…..you can’t blame it on Nathan Bedford Forrest anymore……
