Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar Attacks Trump Over ‘Muslim Ban,’ Promises Impeachment

Rep.-elect Ilhan Omar (D-MN-05) claimed that she was “sickened and outraged” over the case of a Yemeni mother who was prevented from traveling to the U.S. because of the Trump administration’s travel ban. Two-year-old Abdullah Hassan suffers from a genetic brain disorder, according to The Guardian, and is currently on life support in a California hospital. But his mother, Shaima Swileh, was unable to visit her son because she resides in Yemen, one of the six countries included in Trump’s travel ban. “As a mother and immigrant from one of the so-called ‘banned’ countries, I am sickened and outraged by the Trump administration’s disregard for a mother separated from her son,” Omar said in a Monday press release, referring to the Trump policy as a “Muslim ban.” “This child is dying and his mom is forbidden entry into our country to see him because of the Muslim ban,” she continued. “I commend the Council of American Islamic Relations in Sacramento and others for calling attention to this tragedy and demanding a visa waiver be issue to the child’s mother.” On Tuesday, the U.S. State Department granted Swileh a waiver to travel to see her son, and she will arrive in…

by CHQ Staff   Omar Abdulsattar Ameen, 45, an Iraqi “refugee” admitted under the Obama – Ryan refugee program was arrested Wednesday in Northern California on a warrant alleging that he killed an Iraqi policeman while fighting for the Islamic State organization. Ameen and other members of ISIS are alleged to have killed the officer after the town of Rawah, Iraq, fell to the Islamic State in June 2014, according to court documents. According to our friends at NewsMax, Ameen was arrested by the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force at a Sacramento apartment building based on a warrant issued in May by an Iraqi federal court in Baghdad. U.S. officials plan to extradite him back to Iraq under a treaty with that nation, and he made his first appearance in federal court in Sacramento on Wednesday. Court documents unsealed Wednesday afternoon and reported by Sam Stanton, Darrell Smith and Julia Sclafani of the Merced (California) Sun-Star describe Ameen as a “terrorist” and leader of al-Qaida forces that captured and executed soldiers, and as a close associate of well-known terror leaders in the region. On the heels of Tennessee’s decision to appeal a federal judge’s ruling to dismiss the lawsuit against the federal government’s resettlement of refugees Thursday, gubernatorial candidate Diane Black issued a statement supporting the decision. “I applaud the State of Tennessee for choosing to defend our Constitutional rights and appealing this decision,” Black said in a statement. “This is an issue of states’ rights. DHS: Dozens Of MS-13, Other Gang Members Released By Sanctuary Cities

by Will Racke   More than 100 suspected members of MS-13 and other gangs were released last year by sanctuary jurisdictions even though federal authorities had formally requested that they be held, according to newly released data from the Department of Homeland Security. Between October 2016 and June 2017, local law enforcement agencies released 142 gang members that immigration authorities were seeking to deport instead of transferring them to federal custody. The prisoners were subjects of active immigration detainers, which are formal requests made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to local authorities to hold criminal aliens until federal agents can pick them up. The releases occurred in 37 separate jurisdictions, according to a Center for Immigration Studies report on the data, which was compiled in response to a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the rise of MS-13. With the exception of Maricopa County, Arizona, all are considered sanctuary jurisdictions because they refuse to honor ICE detainers that aren’t backed by a criminal warrant or, in some cases, notify immigration authorities of a criminal alien’s release date. US Seeks Denaturalization of Two Convicted Bosnian Muslim War Criminals

The U.S. Justice Department on Wednesday asked courts to denaturalize two Bosnian Muslims who have been convicted in their native country of carrying out an execution-style massacre of Croatian villagers during the Balkan wars. Edin Dzeko, 46, and Sammy Rasema Yetisen, 45, both alleged former members of an elite Bosnian military unit responsible for carrying out the 1993 attack that killed 22 civilians, are accused of hiding their crimes on their refugee, permanent resident and citizenship applications.

Commentary: Immigrant From Former Trump Travel Ban Country Shoots Up Tennessee Church

by George Rasley, CHQ Editor   An immigrant from Sudan, Emanuel Kidega Samson, has been arrested for shooting-up the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch, Tennessee. One woman, identified as Melanie Smith, 39, of Smyrna, Tennessee was killed in the attack. Also shot were three men and three women, police spokesman Don Aaron said.  The church’s minister Joey Spann, 60, and his wife, Peggy, 65, were both injured in the shooting, in addition to the Spanns, police identified the victims as William Jenkins, 83, Marlene Jenkins, 84, Linda Busch, 68, Katherine Dickerson, 64 and Robert Engle, 22, an usher who heroically confronted Samson, who in the struggle shot himself. Sudan, along with Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen is among the original six countries covered by President Trump’s “travel ban,” that expired on Sunday.
