The phrase “having it all” came from the title of a 1982 book written by Helen Gurley Brown, then editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine. As Antoinette Lattouf, writing in The Guardian in early 2023, put it, this self-help book for women focused on “money, sex, diet, exercise, and appearance.” Notably, it made no mention of children or family.
Since then, of course, the phrase has come to take on an even broader meaning. Today, “having it all” is touted as a woman’s reaching her full potential by having an education, lucrative formal career, rewarding marriage, happy children, and an active social life. Of course, this ideal is vague at best and destructive at worst.

Another day, another biological male stealing the spotlight from biological females in the name of feminism and equality. A new Miss Universe was crowned on Saturday and the transgender owner of the organization, Anne Jakrajutatip, took to the stage claiming to “celebrate women” and the supposed female-led future the beauty pageant.
Jakrajutatip took over ownership of the Miss Universe Organization last year from IMG Worldwide LLC, which previously bought the pageant from former President Donald Trump. Jakrajutatip is the first transgender owner of the organization in its 71 years of existence—or, as Jakrajutatip now claims, the “first woman owner.”

Women’s groups in Pennsylvania are quiet after the University of Pennsylvania’s (UPenn) biologically male transgender swimmer Lia Thomas won the women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) 500-yard freestyle swimming championship at the end of last week.
The Pennsylvania National Organization for Women (PNOW), Women’s Way and the Women’s Law Project did not return The Pennsylvania Daily Star’s Tuesday comment requests regarding whether they felt Thomas’ win was a victory for women.

LANDER, Wyo.—Sue Ellen Browder wrote fake news before “fake news” was ever a thing. Except she prefers not to call it that—not because she’s embarrassed to admit she wrote fake news (although she’s certainly not proud), but because she thinks the term “fake news” is too vague to understand.
Browder, a Cosmopolitan magazine writer for 20 years, describes what she wrote as “propaganda.”

by Peter Hasson Canadian feminist writer Meghan Murphy is suing Twitter after she was banned for her tweets about transgender people. Attorneys for Murphy on Monday filed suit in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Francisco, accusing Twitter of deceptive trade practices and breach of contract. Twitter banned Murphy in November over a series of transgender-related tweets that included statements like “men aren’t women” and “How are transwomen not men?” “Twitter’s repeated representations that it would uphold the free speech rights of its users and not censor user speech were material to the decision of millions of users, like Murphy, to join,” Murphy’s lawyers wrote in court documents reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Twitter would never have attracted the hundreds of millions of users it boasts today had Twitter let it be known that it would arbitrarily ban users who did not agree with the political and social views of its management or impose sweeping new policies banning the expression of widely-held viewpoints and perspectives on public issues,” the suit states. “While it is appalling that Twitter would ban a journalist for asking legitimate questions about an incoherent ideology, such as gender identity,…
