Grassley Explains Why He Doesn’t Want To See Trump’s Tax Returns

by Nick Givas   Sen. Chuck Grassley explained why he wasn’t interested in seeing President Donald Trump’s personal tax returns, on “Fox & Friends” Monday. “Listen, you’re asking me as chairman of the Finance Committee, we would have an opportunity to see [Trump’s tax returns] too. I don’t want to see them,” he said. “I am not going to request them and you’re asking me in regard to Trump. I want to tell you that I look at this not from the point of view of Trump, but what is legitimate for Congress to do looking at people’s tax returns,” the Iowa Republican continued. “It’s not to know who the tax returns are. It’s supposed to serve a legislative purpose.” Grassely also said there should be an expectation of privacy with regard to personal tax information and expressed concerns about weaponizing the IRS to neutralize political enemies. “In fact the privacy of your tax returns are guaranteed by Section 6103,” he continued. “We want to make sure that what [former President Lyndon B. Johnson] did, what [former President Richard] Nixon did or what [former President Barack] Obama did — going after conservative organizations, that the IRS is not used for political purposes. But if you…

Former DOJ Attorney Claims Ambassadors Worked with Feds to Take Down Trump

by Nick Givas   Former Justice Department attorney J. Christian Adams claimed U.S. ambassadors are working to sabotage President Donald Trump from within on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday. Adams was commenting on Republican North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows’s point — he previously said “there was a coordinated effort to take this president down,” and that even ambassadors were involved. “It’s important to understand something, that a lot of these ambassadors are either Obama leftovers, or they come from something called the foreign service. This is the swampiest part of the swamp,” Adams said. “It’s career people who almost think they’re some kind of hereditary elite whose role in the world is to preserve the world order — not to serve the United States. And these people despise President Trump, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all that some of these ambassadors who are career foreign service officers are engaging in exactly what Congressman Meadows says.” Adams cited Meadows, who has been an outspoken critic of deep state bureaucrats. Adams said Meadows will likely continue to be the main source of information on bureaucratic abuse going forward. “Look, you need to understand something. Congressman [Mark] Meadows is very close to these…

Study Says Stricter Voter ID Laws Do Not Lead to Voter Suppression

by Nick Givas   Former Department of Justice attorney J. Christian Adams said voter ID laws do not lead to voter suppression Wednesday on “Fox & Friends,” citing a study from The National Bureau of Economic Research. “This is a huge survey,” Adams said. “Fifty-thousand sampled. They discovered that voter ID has absolutely no negative impact on voters — something most of us already knew, a small fringe of dishonest people didn’t know. They make money off of this. They raise huge sums of money to pay lawyers to attack states that implement voter ID … This is something most Americans agree with, and now we know it doesn’t do any harm.” The study examined 10 states with voter ID laws, including Georgia and Wisconsin. It found minorities were not negatively affected by the measures, Adams said. “A huge survey found that it did not effect minorities negatively, which tells you they have been lying,” he added. “They have been scaring minorities in the worse possible ways about voter ID and election integrity laws. They use it to increase their own power, to create this hysteria, and frankly, Brian, the survey showed that if voter ID does anything, it increases…

Seventh Generation Rancher Explains Why America Needs a Border Wall

by Nick Givas   Seventh generation rancher Ruperto Escobar of Texas explained why America needs a southern border wall and said he’d give up his land to help start construction. “The problem there right now is primarily drug trafficking,” he said Wednesday on “Fox & Friends.” “I’ve lived there 75 years and let me tell you, I’ve seen everything happen there. Right now I must access the river because I have a pumping site. And I have good, workable road to the river. And you ought to see the amount of traffic that happens primarily going back towards the river. People that get caught with their vehicles full of drugs and then they speed back toward the river at very high velocity, past my house. A whole slew of police after them.” Co-host Steve Doocy asked Escobar what he would say to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi about her claim that the wall is immoral and Escobar said he’d draw on life experience and tell her to start building. “I’d say ma’am, I don’t know where you get your facts but from what we have endured, my lifetime, which is about 75 years now, of seeing the number of…

Leiper’s Fork to Welcome Kid Rock in Dec. 15 Christmas Parade

Colorful entertainer Kid Rock will be welcomed in the Christmas parade in Leiper’s Fork. Parade goers at the Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 15, will be joined by special guest Kid Rock, who will walk in the parade. The parade, previously scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8, was postponed until Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. due to inclement weather, the Williamson Herald said. Kid Rock was disinvited as the grand marshal of the Dec. 1 Nashville Christmas Parade after he called Joy Behar of ultra-liberal show “The View” a word that starts with “b,” The Tennessee Star reported. The colorful singer appeared on “Fox & Friends” Dec. 30, live from Nashville, and made the remark about Behar. Parade organizers instead invited James Shaw Jr., the hero who wrestled a gun away from the Waffle House shooter in April. Nashville Mayor David Briley and Councilman Freddie O’Connell had threatened to boycott the parade over Kid Rock, according to Fox 17 News. In the “Fox & Friends” interview, Kid Rock also bemoaned political correctness, Townhall said. Rock said everyone deserves love, minus one person in particular – Behar. He then used the derogative term. “No, no, no, no,” host Steve Doocy…

Kid Rock Is Out As Grand Marshal of Nashville Christmas Parade After Calling Joy Behar Derogatory Word

Kid Rock is out as the grand marshal of the Nashville Christmas Parade after he called Joy Behar a word that starts with “b,” according to ABC News. The colorful singer appeared on “Fox & Friends” Friday morning, live from Nashville, and made the remark about Behar of “The View.” Parade organizers instead invited James Shaw Jr., the hero who wrestled a gun away from the Waffle House shooter in April. Nashville Mayor David Briley and Councilman Freddie O’Connell had threatened to boycott the parade over Kid Rock, according to Fox 17 News. “If Kid Rock is still the grand marshal tomorrow, the mayor is inclined not to participate,” the mayor’s office said in a statement Friday. O’Connell said, “I will not be participating in tomorrow’s Nashville Christmas parade. The choice of Grand Marshal evokes neither the spirit of Christmas nor the inclusivity I think represents the best of Nashville.” In the “Fox & Friends” interview, Kid Rock also bemoaned political correctness, Townhall said. Rock said everyone deserves love, minus one person in particular – Behar. He then used the derogative term. “No, no, no, no,” host Steve Doocy interrupted. “You cannot say that. We apologize for that.” “I mean…

House Chairman Plans To Subpoena Rod Rosenstein ‘Very Soon’

by Chuck Ross   The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee said Saturday that he will subpoena Rod Rosenstein “very soon” if the deputy attorney general does not agree to an on-the-record interview with Congress. “[Rosenstein] has not agreed to come for a transcribed interview on the record. He needs to agree to do that. If he does not agree to do that very soon, I will issue a subpoena for him to appear,” GOP Rep. Bob Goodlatte of Virginia said in an interview on “Fox & Friends.” Goodlatte and other Republicans on the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform Committees want to interview Rosenstein about reports that in May 2017 he suggested wearing a wire during meetings with President Donald Trump. Republicans on the committees also want to ask Rosenstein about the FBI’s handling of the investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government. Republican lawmakers believe that the FBI misled judges on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court by relying heavily on the unverified Steele dossier to obtain warrants to spy on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Rosenstein signed off on the fourth and final surveillance warrant in June 2017. .@RepGoodlatte: “[Rod Rosenstein] has not…
