Kari Lake Bashes Rep. Ruben Gallego for Reported Involvement with Failed Bank Plan that Took Money from Latinos

Republican Kari Lake released a statement Monday, bashing Arizona Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ-03) after a report surfaced that he was involved in creating a bank aimed at helping the Hispanic community, which ultimately fell through and took money from some Latinos.

“These troubling revelations should be concerning to every single voter in Arizona. Ruben is just another corrupt politician looking to line his own pockets at the expense of everyday Arizonans. Despite being a Bernie-worshiping socialist, Ruben will always put his own financial interests first. Arizona deserves better than a craven man willing to sell out his constituents at a moment’s notice for an easy buck. I believe Arizonans are ready for a new generation of citizen leaders who are ready to work for the people,” Lake said in an email to the press.

Kari Lake Campaign Highlights Katie Hobbs’ Racist Actions in New TV Ad

With under two weeks until the November general election, Republican Kari Lake’s campaign for governor released a new TV Ad reminding Arizonans of the past racist actions of Lake’s Democrat opponent, Katie Hobbs.

“Katie Hobbs may try to run from her racist behavior, but she can’t hide her appalling record from the voters of Arizona,” said Lake’s campaign in a statement emailed to reporters. “Arizona’s state employees – and all Arizonans who are proud to call this state home – simply can’t afford to elect a racist to the governor’s office.”

Kari Lake Barred from the Stage, Ousted from Venue at Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Forum as Katie Hobbs Remained Hidden

Arizona’s Republican gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake attended the Arizona Gubernatorial Candidates Townhall Monday, where she sat in the audience in an attempt to have a real debate with her Democrat opponent Katie Hobbs; however, the event staff told her she had to exit the room before Hobs could appear, leaving no chance for any live exchange of ideas between the two.

“I’m here for a job interview. We’re asking questions. I’m answering them. We [Hobbs] should be here together so you can compare and decide which person is better suited for this job. And she’s not going to do that. Now she says that for this, it’s really interesting for this general election, but what was her excuse in the Democrat primary when she was facing our first immigrant candidate, Marco López? He sat on stage alone. She refused to debate him,” Lake said during her portion of the event. “Because I have a feeling, had Katie Hobbs showed up and sat on that stage with Marco López, who’s a very smart young man, that she wouldn’t be the nominee.”

The Republican Governors Association (RGA) blasted Arizona’s Democrat gubernatorial nominee, Katie Hobbs, for appearing unable to share a specific way the Hispanic community has impacted her.

“Katie Hobbs and her team know her largest liability is her inability to connect with voters on issues that matter,” said RGA spokesman Will Reinert. “Yet, Hobbs still struck out when asked an important, yet softball question, that a third of the voters in Arizona deem incredibly important.”

Commentary: Battle for Hispanic Voters Comes to Key Pennsylvania City

The battle for Hispanic voters in traditional Democratic strongholds is intensifying in Pennsylvania. Last month, the Republican National Committee opened a Hispanic community center in Allentown, the state’s third-largest city. It’s the sixth such center that the RNC has opened nationwide.

Allentown, once associated with steel and Mack trucks, is centered in the Lehigh Valley, now a booming region thanks to the warehousing and logistics sector. The politically competitive Valley is increasingly important to statewide elections, such as the upcoming races to replace retiring Republican Sen. Pat Toomey, who lives near Allentown, and Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf.
