In-N-Out Burger Announces Plan to Build Restaurants, Corporate Office in Tennessee by 2026

In-N-Out Burger, the popular west coast fast food chain,  announced expansion plans to build restaurants and a corporate office in Tennessee by 2026.

The chain’s $125.5 million corporate office investment will be located in Franklin and is expected to create 277 new jobs in Williamson County. The chain’s new 100,000-square-foot office building will be located off Interstate 65. Construction on the building is expected to begin in late 2024, according to a press release by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD).

In addition to its eastern territory office, the chain intends to open restaurants in and around Nashville by 2026.

“We are very excited to provide Tennesseans with our quality burgers, fries and shakes,” Lynsi Snyder, In-N-Out owner, said in a statement. “In every decision I make, I always consider what my family would want. I have no doubt that my grandparents, dad and uncle would be proud of this decision to grow our Associate family and serve even more amazing Customers beginning in Nashville and the surrounding areas.”

Calling the expansion “significant” for the burger chain, Snyder further stated that “many requests” have been received from Tennessee customers for restaurants to open in the state.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee also released a statement on In-N-Out’s expansion into the state, saying, “I’m proud to welcome In-N-Out Burger, an iconic American brand, to the Volunteer State. Tennessee’s unmatched business climate, skilled workforce and central location make our state the ideal place for this family-run company to establish its first eastern United States hub. We thank In-N-Out for planting roots in Williamson County and creating new jobs for Tennesseans.”

Harry and Esther Snyder in 1948 founded the fast food chain as a 10×10 hamburger stand in Baldwin Park, California and now has 385 locations throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Colorado.
