Commentary: Far from Environmentalists’ ‘Immoral’ Claim – We Need Children Now More than Ever

New Born Baby

In a recent television interview, environmental activist Donnachadh McCarthy informed the public that having more than two kids is selfish. McCarthy states in the interview that humanity has destroyed 70 percent of “nature” in one generation, presumably due to our so-called carbon footprint, although he doesn’t explain exactly how this has occurred.

“There’s a moral issue here,” he says. “How can we pass that on to the next generation? Every child in an industrial country like ours has around 505 hundred tonnes of carbon over their lifetime. That’s equivalent to 1000 years of electricity for a household. So each child has an impact, and we’re saying one is great, two is plenty, and three is selfish.”

Commentary: Four Things People Can Do to Change the Culture in 2024

People Praying

Maybe I am on a new year high, but as I consider the West’s cultural renewal, I sense an optimism in the air I haven’t felt for years.

In 2023, we saw a growing public awareness about the dangers and futility of transgender surgery. Alongside that, many woke up to the hypocrisy of the climate alarmists. And building on the success of Roe v. Wade’s demise, many states have now passed heartbeat bills, providing robust protections for many of the nation’s unborn. Surprisingly, pollsters even picked up on a decline in support for same-sex relationships.

YouTube Repeatedly Censors RFK Jr. as Democratic Leaders Demand Reinstatement of 2020 Censorship

The disputed 2020 election now appears in the rearview mirror for YouTube, which is now determining what users can see relevant to the next election.

The Alphabet-owned, video-sharing site and Google sibling has censored at least two videos, and may be throttling a third, featuring Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. shortly after ending a two-and-a-half-year ban on questioning the “integrity” of the last presidential election, saying it accomplished little relative to the potential harm it caused.

Commentary: Non-Binary Pronouns Are Conquering the West

For a long time now, Sweden has had a history of being impressively ahead of the rest of the West in a number of areas: appeasing Nazis, remaining neutral during the Cold War, exporting porn, legalizing euthanasia, serving meatballs at furniture emporia, capitulating to Islam, putting legitimate Ukrainian refugees into asylum centers where they’re raped by bogus Muslim refugees, etc.

It should not come as a surprise, then, that Sweden was also ahead of the curve on the pronoun front. Way ahead.

Jordan Peterson Spots Another Woke College Math Course

Jordan Peterson, the famed psychology professor, recently pointed out that his institution, the University of Toronto, is offering a “Liberating Mathematics” class.

Jordan Peterson Unpacks What Drives the Left and How to Restore Meaning

by Jarret Stepman   President Donald Trump exclaimed in his State of the Union address that America would “never” be a socialist country. Yet multiple polls suggest that many Americans, especially younger ones, embrace left-wing ideology in increasing numbers, as more politicians have openly embraced the term. Despite ample evidence that socialism has failed to bring prosperity and has actually inflicted widespread misery, why does it resonate? And what can be done to stop its spread? Jordan Peterson took on those questions at a New York City event on Tuesday hosted by The Heritage Foundation. The Canadian clinical psychologist and author of “12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos” said the West is undergoing a crisis of spirit and meaning, not poverty. [ The liberal Left continue to push their radical agenda against American values. The good news is there is a solution. Find out more ] Peterson explained why he thinks socialism resonates with younger Americans in particular. “People are unbelievably ignorant of history,” he said, admitting that even he has gaps in knowledge about history before the 20th century. But young people are working with even less knowledge, Peterson said. “What young people know about 20th-century history is nonexistent, especially about…

Bookstore Removes Jordan Peterson Book Over Mosque Shooting, Continues Selling ‘Mein Kampf’

by Joshua Gill   A New Zealand bookstore stopped selling Dr. Jordan Peterson’s book in light of the Christchurch mosque shootings, but continues offering “Mein Kampf.” Management at Whitcoulls, one of the largest bookstores in New Zealand, said it would be wrong to support Peterson by selling “12 Rules For Life: An Antidote For Chaos” in light of “some extremely disturbing material being circulated prior, during and after the Christchurch attack,” according to an apparent customer service email, likely referencing a photograph in which Peterson embraced a fan wearing an “I’m A Proud Islamaphobe” T-shirt. The store, however, continues to offer Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” and Albert Cooper’s “Why Islamic Society Is Not Compatible With American Society,” according to its website. So they banned Jordan Peterson's book… but… uh… pic.twitter.com/V9tfxpRrog — Tim Pool (@Timcast) March 21, 2019 Peterson, a clinical psychologist and professor of psychology at the University of Toronto, advocates for self-improvement and has not promoted bigotry in his writings or lectures. The book in question only makes one reference to Muslims, which is not derogatory. ACT Party leader David Seymour criticized Whitcoull’s decision to remove Peterson’s book, saying that restricting books was an ineffective way to combat neo-Nazism.…

Commentary: How to Avoid Becoming a Self-Righteous Virtue Signaler

by Jeff Minick   Here is an online proponent for gun control, a man ignorant of the difference between a shotgun and a .22 rifle, decrying millions of gun owners as Nazis. There sits the woman who makes a point of telling her dinner companions, some of whom are eating the café’s steak special, that she’s a vegan. At the YMCA another woman throws scornful glances at the obese man working out beside her. Next up is the politician who flies by private jet to lecture his audiences about global warming. In the pews is the Christian who weekly hears sermons on mercy and forgiveness, yet plays God, deciding who among his family and acquaintances deserve heaven or hell. Condemnation by the self-righteous—what some call virtue signaling—is rampant these days. Many among us jump to conclusions before we have any evidence, eager to show we embrace a just cause or stand on some high moral plateau. We point accusatory fingers, insult those we disagree with, impugn our opponents with motives and deeds that have no basis in reality. Occasionally, though, if we are lucky or blessed, life can make plain the beam in our eye. That beam can become apparent…

Jordan Peterson Came to Nashville and Packed the House on His ’12 Rules for Living’ Tour

Jordan Peterson

As a part of a book tour to promote his best-selling 12 Rules for Living, straight-talking clinical psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson appeared at the Ryman to a packed house on Monday night. Dr. Jordan Peterson gained national attention in Canada after openly and vehemently opposing a speech code laws that would criminalize using the wrong pronoun for a (transgender) person. His fame grew exponentially after a half-hour slug-fest of an interview with British reporter Cathy Newman went viral. Here in Tennessee, people came from miles around to hear the influential psychologist and professor speak about the essential skills and habits adults need to lead happy and fulfilling lives. But rather than review the details of his book, Peterson spent his time in Nashville discussing an array of topics, including his ‘Sleeping Beauty Philosophy’ (here’s a three minute summary by Peterson – note: some adult language). We’ve got lobsters! The crowd went wild when Peterson took the stage. Insane crowd tonight. Get it, @jordanbpeterson! pic.twitter.com/UIyMYiHnQS — Dave Rubin (@RubinReport) June 12, 2018 And then, the audience serenaded him with “Happy Birthday” (Peterson’s birthday is June 12). When the crowd settled down, Peterson began his talk in earnest. You could hear a pin drop. (Yes; even the texting guy —…
