I’ve got to give Jeremy Boreing, who currently serves as CEO of the Daily Wire, credit for the concept you’re about to hear. Boreing was partnered with conservative independent media star Bill Whittle in a company called Declaration Entertainment, which was exploring a business model not dissimilar to the crowdfunding platform that Angel Studios is maximizing to produce conservative content, when he gave a speech to a Heritage Foundation “Resource Bank” conference held in New Orleans about a decade ago now.

Boreing’s talk was an exhortation to conservatives to produce cultural content.

Commentary: Reforming Private Sector Unions

Unlike public sector unions, which are inherently corrupt and need to be outlawed, private sector unions have a vital role to play in American society. But these unions have become coopted by the same special interests they were originally formed to oppose. The political agenda of America’s unions is almost exclusively leftist, and being part of America’s institutional “Left” is not what it used to be.

The biggest misconception in American politics today is that the political Left is fighting corporate power. Leftists may still attack corporate profits and demand corporations pay their “fair share,” but on every major issue affecting the economic freedom and prosperity of working families in America, these presumed antagonists are actually in perfect alignment.

Commentary: The Central Importance of Infrastructure

After I’d chastised him repeatedly for being the spoiler in the November 2020 battle between Republican David Perdue and Democrat Jon Ossoff to represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate, Shane Hazel invited me to debate him on his podcast.

During our lengthy discussion, Hazel demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, and we found ourselves in agreement on many if not most of the critical issues, starting with the First and Second Amendments. One topic I wish we could have spent more time discussing was the issue of infrastructure. As it was, I got nowhere with Hazel on that question.

I remember a staggering conversation with my high school lunch table in the early 2000s. Everyone agreed with one kid’s statement that there was nothing special about living in America: Life in Canada, or anywhere else, would be identical except for maybe the weather.

In the taxpayer-funded, cushy corridors of leftist academe, the radically chic proselytizers of hatred smugly define their concept of “White Privilege”: If you don’t need to care about a societal problem, it is because of your white privilege. (The shorthand for “White privilege” is simply “privilege,” because 1619.)

By pouring this racist tenet of cultural Marxism into those too intellectually and emotionally immature to resist the call to hate others, oneself, and America, the object is to inure its adherents against the ability to measure one’s actions by any moral criteria except vapid virtue signaling. If these insular radicals were still capable of introspection, they’d shortly realize they epitomize “privilege.”

Commentary: Leftist Grinches See Red Over the White House Christmas Display

This year, with the theme “American Treasures” Melania Trump continues to exhibit good taste as, in addition to honoring well established Christian tradition, she also pays homage to “the unique heritage of America” in giving thanks to the American Experiment. There is one section of the festive presentation that has sent those opposing everything Trump into apoplectic convulsions. The offense this year? The more than 40 crimson topiary trees that line the east colonnade. The red theme, according to the White House, stands for courage, valor, and bravery represented in the presidential seal. In one sense, and as the White House noted, the trees are also symbolic of our Founding Fathers who understood the great sacrifice before them. Demands to topple statues, remove portraits, rename buildings, and repudiate founders—all in an effort to cleanse any objectionable reality from our history—have reached a fever pitch. Democratic Party Could Be ‘Too Liberal’ For Voters, Poll Finds

It’s just one poll, but it illustrates a dynamic which will become more intense as election day approaches, and Democratic strategists seek an effective public message. An Economist/YouGov poll finds that almost half of registered U.S. voters – 48 percent – say the party is “too liberal.” Even 13 percent of liberals agree. Few felt the party was not liberal enough. Here’s what the poll revealed: Forty-eight percent of registered U.S. voters say the Democratic Party is ‘too liberal’; 76 percent of Republicans, 40 percent of independents, 15 percent of Democrats agree and 13 percent of liberals agree.
