Judicial Watch on Tuesday said Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is hiding records of communications between her office and the House January 6 committee after Willis claimed records of such conversations are “legally exempted” in response to a court order demanding she respond to a freedom of information request related to her prosecution of President-elect Donald Trump.

Willis was ordered to respond to the information request filed by Judicial Watch in a December 4 court order. In a court filing submitted by Willis’ office, and published by Judicial Watch, the district attorney acknowledged the existence of “communication sent or received from the United States House January 6th Committee,” but asserted the records cannot be released, “because they arose from the investigation, subsequent indictment, and prosecution” of Trump and those who helped him contest the 2020 election results in Georgia.

In his opening remarks during his October 15 deposition, Wade told the committee he has, “had minimum contact with the Office of the District Attorney of Fulton County,” since he resigned after Judge Scott McAfee issued a “distasteful dicta” that required he or Willis to resign from the case against Trump and those who helped him contest the 2020 election results in Georgia.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee on Wednesday determined former President Donald Trump and eight of his co-plaintiffs may appeal his decision against disqualifying District Attorney Fani Willis from her election case against the former president.

Recall that Willis and Wade testified under oath to the material fact that Willis did not hire Wade as special prosecutor while they were having a romantic relationship. They both testified that the romantic relationship began after the hiring decision was made. If that was a deliberate lie, it satisfies all the elements of perjury.

Constitutional Attorney Lists Five Ways Georgia DA Fani Willis Committed Misconduct Prosecuting Trump and His Associates

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is currently under fire for appointing her former lover, Nathan Wade, as chief prosecutor in the RICO prosecution of Donald Trump and his associates, and a nationally recognized constitutional expert said that is not the only major misconduct. The expert, who preferred not to be identified, said there are five other instances of improper behavior by Willis.

The first instance was so egregious that it undermined the entire grounds for the prosecution, the expert said. The prosecution arose from a phone call between Trump, his associates, and Georgia officials discussing what to do about illegal activity in Georgia during the 2020 election. The call was recorded by a deputy secretary of state under Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who was in Florida at the time. Unlike Georgia, where only one party on a phone call needs to know it is being recorded, Florida has a multi-party consent law for recording phone conversations, which means all parties on the call must know about the recording and agree to it. None of the exceptions applied, such as law enforcement or where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy.

A poll of U.S. voters released on Thursday found just under half of American voters want Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to be disqualified from prosecuting her election case against former President Donald Trump in Georgia.

The Rasmussen poll, conducted after Willis testified on in the hearing to determine whether she should be removed from the case against Trump, determined that 48 percent of likely U.S. voters say there is significant evidence indicating Willis should be disqualified. The pollsters found that just 39 percent said Willis should remain on the case, while 13 percent were unsure.

The Georgia State Senate passed a bill on Tuesday that will strike the need for the Prosecuting Attorneys Qualifications Commission (PAQC) to have its rules reviewed and approved by the Georgia Supreme Court, which would allow it to immediately begin investigating prosecutors, including embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Introduced by Senator Randy Robertson (R-Cataula) in early January, SB 332 would amend the 2022 law establishing the PAQC to strike the requirement for the commission to have its standards and rules reviewed and adopted by the Georgia Supreme Court. It now goes to the Georgia House, and if passed, would become law as soon as it is signed by Governor Brian Kemp.

Fani Willis Fired Whistleblower Who Warned of Misuse of Federal Funds Shortly Before Paying Alleged Boyfriend Nathan Wade

Audio emerged on Wednesday of a conversation between embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Amanda Timpson, a former subordinate who claims she blew the whistle to Willis about an alleged plan to misuse federal funding by a former member of her campaign who Willis retained as part of her team after taking office.

Timpson recorded the audio on November 21, 2021, according to The Washington Free Beacon, which originally unearthed the clip. This means Willis and Timpson spoke about alleged wrongdoing in at the Fulton County District Attorney’s office just under three weeks after Willis hired her alleged romantic partner, private defense attorney Nathan Wade, to oversee the criminal case against former President Donald Trump.

Georgia State Senate Approves Committee to Investigate Fani Willis

The Georgia State Senate approved Friday the creation of a committee to investigate Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

The senate voted 30-19 to investigate Willis in response to allegations that she awarded her alleged lover, special prosecutor Nathan Wade, a “lucrative” contract that she benefited from when he took her on vacations using money he earned from his position. Sen. Greg Dolezal introduced the legislation Monday to create a Senate Special Committee on Investigations, which would have the power to issue subpoenas and compel production of records.
