National Federation of Independent Business Endorses Senate Candidate J.D. Vance

The National Federation of Independent Business, which represents thousands of small businesses in Ohio, opted to endorse JD Vance in the race for U.S. Senate.

The group, known as the “voice of small business, backed the Republican over Democrat nominee Tim Ryan.

According to leaders of the organization, Vance comprehends that “inflation, workforce shortages, and supply chain disruptions are negatively affecting Ohio’s small businesses.”

“We are confident JD Vance will be a pro-small business Senator in Congress,” said Roger Geiger, NFIB Ohio Executive Director. “He has committed to defending American small businesses and wants to focus on restoring America’s manufacturing base when elected. Mr. Vance understands that inflation, workforce shortages, and supply chain disruptions are negatively affecting Ohio’s small businesses and has pledged to focus on these issues. He will provide a unique voice to represent the best interests of small businesses and we look forward to working with him.”

Vance has routinely slammed Ryan over the historic inflation that has rocked the state. According to Vance, Ryan’s support for legislation that spent trillions of dollars and his support of President Joe Biden, who ended the construction of oil pipelines in the country, have led to increased consumer prices.

One June survey detailed that 85 percent of small business owners said they were impacted by inflation and 61 percent have raised their prices – numbers that have likely increased.

“We believe Mr. Vance has the business experience and knowledge to be a strong small-business advocate in the Senate,” NFIB Senior National Political Director Sharon Sussin said. “On behalf of Ohio’s small businesses, we are proud to endorse JD Vance for election to the United States Senate.”
