Parents Group Says Pornographic Books Available to Minnesota Students

Parents can’t assume schools have kids’ best interest in mind, said a Delano father after a parents group discovered “quite a few” books containing pornographic material in the high school library.

Parents said they found books containing sexually explicit content, including depictions of rape, in the Delano High School library, which services students in grades 7-12.

According to Jake Torola, advisor to Concerned Community of 879 (CC879) and father of six, the list is at 20 and counting.

Oklahoma Proposes Bill That Would Allow Parents to Remove Sexually Graphic Books from School Libraries

An Oklahoma bill introduced on Dec. 16 may allow parents to seek the removal of books that they deem inappropriate from school libraries.

The bill, Senate Bill 1142, would give parents a right to ask for the removal of “books that are of a sexual nature that a reasonable parent or legal guardian would want to know of or approve of prior to their child being exposed to it,” according to the bill’s language.

A furry is a person who derives pleasure from dressing up as an anthropomorphic animal. Furries often have sex with one another, dressed as their animal personas. The teacher in the Alden-Conger Public School District who reportedly discusses her furry identity in class has also shared the “details of her sexual life … her 3-way sexual relationship with her husband and a lesbian companion” and discussed “incest in an approving way” with her students whose ages range from 14-16.
