Tennessee Titans Quarterback Ryan Tannehill: ‘This Country Was Founded on Racist Ideas’

Tennessee Titans starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill this week said America was founded on racism, and he promptly demanded social change.

This, as he and his teammates announced on Twitter that the best way to take a stand was to not have practice that day.

The Titans’ virtue signaling didn’t impress some of their fans, some of whom mocked the team and said they weren’t giving them any more of their money.

In the video, an unidentified player told fans that team members met that morning and decided not to practice because of “all the recent events in this country, this year, and for the last hundreds of years.”

Tannehill then spoke.

Yes, Every Kid

“These systematic oppressions have been going on for a long time. For hundreds of years. This country was founded on racist ideas, with slaves being brought here from the day of foundation. Those ideas have persisted throughout the last hundreds of years and it’s going to take time until we can get those all out. But we’re tired of it. We’re tired of dealing with the systematic oppression. We’re tired of dealing with excessive force. We’re tired of seeing black men and women die in situations where they should be walking home and spending the night with their families. It’s sickening to just know that they have to worry about their kids coming home at night,” Tannehill said.

“I have two young kids. Because of the color of their skin I never have to worry about them getting pulled over by a police officer if they are going to make it out of that interaction alive. And that’s a sick fact of the world that we’re living in. So we stand up here together, united, demanding change, that there’s equality and justice for all of those situations. Thank you.”

In response, a Twitter user named Brandon responded with this:

“I told my boss I wasn’t going to work too. He fired me. So much for equality.”

Twitter user Brent Smith also criticized the video.

“Could y’all come up with any more reasons for people not to watch games this year. Game attendance has already been cancelled so TV is all you got,” Smith said.

According to Forbes, Tannehill signed a four-year $118 million contract with the Titans after the 2019 NFL season.

If any of these millionaires morons would read the constitution they’d know that this country was founded on anti racist ideals! How do they think the slaves were even freed?? It was because of the principles this country was founded: All men are created equal. If anything the pro athletes are the problem. They take in millions of dollars because of a God given talent and now have the audacity to lecture us working folk on bigotry and racism all while wearing a mask – which slave owners made their slaves wear. This entire manipulation is to destroy us little people. Don’t fall for it America. #banprofessionalsports

Not so long ago, the NFL banned certain demonstrations by players. They may still ban these, because, you know, if you allow one issue, or matter or group to be recognized on the field, you must allow all protests or demonstrations, right?

“Fans who follow the sport, most of this will be a simple reminder of things you already know. For the rest, it’s a wake-up call:

In 2012 the NFL had an issue with Tim Tebow kneeling before each game to pray, they also had an issue with Tebow wearing John 3:16 as part of his eye-black to avoid glare, and made him take it off.

In 2013 the NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people with mental health disorders.

In 2014 Robert Griffin III (RG3) entered a post-game press conference wearing a shirt that said “Know Jesus Know Peace” but was forced to turn it inside out by an NFL uniform inspector before speaking at the podium.

In 2015 DeAngelo Williams was fined for wearing “Find the Cure “eye black for breast cancer awareness.

In 2015 William Gay was fined for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence. (Not that the NFL has a domestic violence problem..).

In 2016 the NFL prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmet in honor of 5 Dallas Police officers killed in the line of duty.

2016 the NFL threatened to fine players who wanted to wear cleats to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11.

So tell me again how the NFL supports free speech and expression. It seems quite clear based on these facts that the NFL has taken a position against any action by NFL players demonstrating RESPECT for any issue:

For God, social causes such as mental health, cancer, domestic violence, for cops killed arbitrarily, for being cops, or for the Memory of 9/11…

BUT they will allow demonstrations of DISRESPECT for our National Flag, our National Anthem, for America , and for the American People, if it will help mollify a particular Group and its supporters. That is who and what the NFL now has shown itself to be.”

The Tennessee Turdians have always been a source of embarrassment to Nashville, now even more than ever. Those cowardly, overpaid eunuchs can keep on kneeling to Marxist BLM, the silent majority has turned it’s back on you.

An incredibly ignorant comment. Tannehill, you might want to do some “real” research before making a public statement.

Quit watching NFL 15 years ago, NBA even longer ago. Now no longer watch MLB. Crap like this just reinforces my boycott. May they all go bankrupt and not be able to afford to pay these ignorant children.

I think it’s great that they are “standing together”, and I guess that the Titan’s are so good, that they can afford to miss a day of “practice”. But maybe they should investigate and learn the truth together, before posting something as idiotic as they did. If they did, maybe then they’d know that black slaves got to America because black slave traders in Africa did business with white slave traders funneling labor into the Caribbean. It was business, all about the color of money. Skin had color nothing to do with it!

But Byard and Tannehill are either morons or they should under go the concussion protocol! Are either of aware that their millions came from that same “business” environment? If America was founded on racist principles by racist people, then both of their successes must be due to this racism, right? And that $70 million dollar contract that Byard got, and that $118 million dollar contract that Tannehill got, they both came from a Titan owner who also MUST be a racist! You can’t have it both ways! So now, I can’t wait to read about how Byard and Tannehill both donate their millions to repent for the racist sins that “earned” that money!

That said, I too am now done with professional sports. Instead, I guess I’ll just go back to sitting around watching old reruns of “Gone with the Wind”, and “The Birth of a Nation”. Isn’t that what “racists” do?

The problem really isn’t Tannehill and the rest of the low IQ gutter trash who play the sport. The problem is the fans who support these disgusting traitors and communist pigs. If you attend a Titans game for any reason other than to disrupt it and voice your disgust, YOU are the problem. If you support NFL sponsors or have cable packages that carry the NFL, YOU are the problem. Not only must the NFL in general and the Titans in particular, who have brought shame to our community, be destroyed, these individual players must be destroyed. If you see them or their families in public, let them hear from you.

If these SOBs or their owners receive any city or state money, it must be cut off immediately.

There’s an old say that applies here; “Better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.”

If Ryan Tannehill wants to talk history and change, start “the change” with the NFL. It despises the Bill of Rights and the 2nd Amendment right of armed defense which has ALWAYS been the historical marker of SLAVERY! Here’s what abolitionist, Frederick Douglass said,

“…while the Legislatures of the South can take from him (the black man) the right to keep and bear arms, as they can … the work of the Abolitionists is not finished.” –Frederick Douglass, speaking to the American Anti-Slavery Society, Macy 1865, Douglass’s address was entitled “In What New Skin Will the Old Snake Come Forth?”

But now, the slave States and cities are in the North and East and the NFL is with them! And the ignorant bigots of ANTIFA and BLM destroyed his statue! Furthermore, BLM is lead by admitted Marxits:

“We make war against all prevailing ideas of religion, of the state, of country, of patriotism. The idea of God is the keynote of a perverted civilization. It must be destroyed.” –Karl Marx

Is this the “change” method? Followed by this:

“We must hate. Hatred is the basis of communism. Children must be taught to hate their parents if they are not communists.” – Vladimir Ilyich Lenin

No, I won’t be supporting this “change” with my time and money.

All civilizations participated in slavery. When one group went to war with another, the defeated were usually killed or enslaved, or sold into slavery. The American Indians were doing the same when the white man got here. And the same is still very much alive on the continent of Africa to this day. China makes all kinds of NIKE goodies with Slave Labor. Name one country in the world where Black Folks have a higher standard of living. Dear God man! You should have paid attention in History Class. Go wash cars.

I am completely done with professional sports. They have ruined the entire endeavor. Go wash cars!
