U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper Attacks Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s Integrity During Hearing Monday

U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN-05) on Monday heavily implied, without solid evidence, that U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is a criminal.

Cooper then asked DeJoy if he secretly hoped U.S. President Donald Trump would one day pardon him — as the president did for Roger Stone.

Cooper and DeJoy exchanged words as DeJoy testified before the House Oversight Committee.

“Mr. DeJoy, as a mega-donor for the Trump campaign, you were picked along with Michael Cohen and Elliot Broidy, two men who have already pled guilty to felonies, to be the three deputy finance chairman of the Republican National Committee,” Cooper said.

“Did you pay back several of your top executives for contributing to Trump’s campaign by bonusing or rewarding them?”

Yes, Every Kid

DeJoy said Cooper made “an outrageous claim” and that DeJoy resented it. DeJoy then said no, he did not bonus or reward his executives for contributing to Trump’s 2016 campaign.

DeJoy then said he wasn’t even working at his former company while Trump ran for office in 2016.

But Cooper asked more questions.

“Do your mail delays fit Trump’s campaign goal of hurting the Post Office, as stated in his tweets? Are your mail delays implicit campaign contributions?” Cooper asked.

DeJoy responded with this:

“I’m not here to answer these types of questions. I’m here to represent the Postal Service. All my actions have to do with improvements in the Postal Service. Am I the only one in this room that understands that we have a $10 billion a year loss?”

Cooper then asked DeJoy to hand over his communications with White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and President Trump.

“Mr. DeJoy, is your backup plan to be pardoned like Roger Stone?” Cooper asked.

DeJoy laughed and said he had no comment.

“It’s not worth the comment,” DeJoy said.

As The Star reported last week, the USPS has lost more than $78 billion since 2007. DeJoy wanted to implement certain cost-saving initiatives but he delayed them until after the November election “to even avoid the appearance of any impact on election mail.”

Well made a note to send money to anyone who runs against Jim Cooper next election cycle.

It’s starting to look like TN is trying to challenge MA for having the dumbest, most offensive, Congressional delegation in the history of the Republic. But I have some bad news for you: you’ll never out-dumb or out-offend us here in the Bay State as long as we have the likes of Elizabeth “Pocahantas” Warren, Ed Markey, Stephen Lynch, Seth Moulton, and Ayanna Presley representing us. That Fabulous Five has broken all records for stupidity, dishonesty, and arrogance, and no other State will ever be able to top them. 🙁

Ol’ Lipless is a fine representative of Tennessee, isn’t he? Obviously he had no legitimate questions to ask. He should have passed his time to someone without a useless agenda.

The low life with no integrity is none other than Cooper.
But that was already a proven fact.

The Democrats are just mad because everyone knows they cheat with mail in ballots. The Democrats cannot win on the issues.

Jim Cooper is a man without shame!

DeJoy deserved to be put on the spot … there is no question that he has led the changes in the post office to help the Trump campaign … and that he is being bolstered up by the President for that reason. There should be no effort made to disenfranchised voters leading up to an election, especially one this important, and that is exactly what DeJoy/Trump intended to happen. If Trump is to win … win ethically not by manipulation. Let the people decide without restricting their voice.

Spoofer, you must be a liberal troll. Post office changes have been in planning and proceeding for a long time, not a recent thing. Dumocrats are just trying to put in Vote by mail so they can cheat easier and do anything to make it happen. Read the news today half million votes not counted because of cheat by mail.

Jim Cooper is shameless and an embarrassment to his district. He doesn’t even realized that he made himself look like a fool. Past time for him to go!

Kudos to Mr. DeJoy for ignoring the personal attacks. He has far more intestinal fortitude than most. I’m surprised he didn’t get up and walk out when the personal attacks started. He’s there to answer “legitimate” questions, not to be harassed and personally attacked.
Jim Cooper is a low life jerk.

Listen how idiotic his accusation are, “…Nashville’s mail trucks are being forced to leave on schedule, even when completely empty.” Duh, mail trucks pick up and deliver from various points all around the County, all day long. They may leave the parking lot where they sit all night, empty, but they certainly don’t leave the Post Office “completely empty”!

And, what if we apply Jim Cooper’s same outrage to his brother’s mass transit system, “Nashville’s busses are being forced to leave on schedule, even when completely empty’.” Hmmm

It appears that the “nuts” didn’t fall far from the tree!

Apparently ol’ Jim is trying to beat out Steve Cohen for the “Most Embarrassingly Idiotic Politician in TN” award.

Jim Cooper is a useless piece of Democrat trash, just like his useless brother Mayor Chicken Coop Cooper..Jim has held Tennessee hostage way to long with his do nothing performance , he has only been a Democrat mouthpiece and his lying, I won’t raise your taxes, comrade brother is holding Nashville hostage with this stupid flu virus, he has by himself ruined chosen sections of the Nashville economy. Also finacially ruined people’s families and lives because of his selected ignorant shutdown, he should be thrown out of office? It is past time they both go neither one are of any value for the people they are suppose to represent. Useless political scum the both of them, send the commie comrade brothers packing.
