Pro-Life Experts Warn Leftists Are Using Texas Woman’s Abortion Battle as ‘Highly Public Flashpoint’

Kate Cox asked the Texas Supreme Court to give her permission to abort her unborn baby, a baby that has a condition known as trisomy 18. On Monday, her lawyers said that she will go to another state to end the baby’s life. That same day, the court said Texas law didn’t require her to ask its permission.

Trisomy 18 is a condition where a baby has an extra copy of chromosome 18, making it highly likely that the baby will die in the womb or shortly after birth—though some babies with trisomy 18 do survive, such as former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum’s daughter. Cox’s lawyers have argued that by not aborting her baby, Cox is jeopardizing her health and future fertility.

The former candidate told Politico that at least two Republican presidential campaigns have sought his advice in recent weeks as candidates are running out of time to take down former President Donald Trump, who is currently leading the field by nearly 50 points nationally.

Nashville Mayoral Candidate Carol Swain Raises $20,000 in One Day with Rick Santorum and Pete Hegseth Events

Carol Swain with Pete Hegseth and Rick Santorum

NASHVILLE, Tennessee–About two hundred supporters of Nashville mayoral candidate Carol Swain donated more than $20,000 to her campaign on Monday at events with former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) and Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Pete Hegseth held at the Ray Stevens CabaRay Showroom, the new entertainment venue owned by and featuring Music City legend Ray Stevens. Monday’s haul increased the amount Swain’s campaign has raised in just three weeks to more than $60,000, further solidifying her position as the only serious challenger to Acting Mayor David Briley in the May 24 special mayoral election for Nashville/Davidson County. Both Santorum and Hegseth spoke at a 4 p.m. fundraising event at the CabaRay, but due to scheduling reasons, Santorum was unable to attend the 6 p.m. fundraising event, also held at the CabaRay. At the later event, Hegseth explained to the audience why he had flown down to Nashville from New York City and planned on making his own contribution to Swain’s campaign for Mayor of Nashville. “You just meet certain people you resonate with,” Hegseth said of Swain, who has appeared as a guest on Fox & Friends Weekend several times. “They are a truth teller amidst a sea of the wrong…

Former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) Endorses State Senator Mark Green for Congress’ 7th District to Replace Marsha Blackburn

Former Pennsylvania Senator and two-time presidential hopeful Rick Santorum announced his endorsement of Dr. Mark Green for Congress Thursday. “Mark Green has been a true champion for conservative values in the State Senate, and I’m confident he’ll bring that same much-needed leadership to Washington, Senator Santorum said in a statement. “Our country desperately needs bold conservative leadership, and Mark is the right man for the job.” Rick Santorum is a longtime leader in the conservative movement since he burst into national political scene in 1991 with a surprise upset victory over Congressman Doug Walgren in a heavily-Democrat district in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh. After serving two terms in the House, Santorum ran for and won a seat in the U.S. Senate as a part of the historic Republican takeover of both houses of Congress in 1994.  His tenure was marked by several important votes, including voting against NAFTA; empowering schools to include theories of ‘intelligent design’ within ‘origin of life’ lessons; and defending enhanced interrogation techniques like waterboarding. Santorum rose quickly through the Republican leadership, eventually attaining the 3rd highest-rank as the Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference. However, his plans in the Senate were cut short after a choppy 2006…
