Kemp Signs Constitutional Carry Bill into Law

Georgia’s governor Tuesday signed a bill into law that will allow residents of the state to carry a concealed firearm without a permit.

“I certainly want to thank all of those legislators – many of them – that along with us have been pushing to get this bill across the finish line for a long time,” Gov. Brian Kemp (R) said in the bill signing ceremony at Gable Sporting Goods in Douglasville.

Georgia House Approves Constitutional Carry Bill

The Georgia House of Representatives on Friday approved legislation to allow individuals to carry a concealed handgun without obtaining a license from the state.

House Bill 1358, known as a “constitutional carry” bill, will strengthen Second Amendment rights of citizens in the state, supporters of the bill argue.
