Tennessee Right to Life Endorses Senate Republican Leader Jack Johnson for Re-Election

Tennessee Right to Life endorsed State Senate Republican Leader Jack Johnson (R-Franklin) in his race for re-election on Tuesday.

The organization cited “Johnson’s demonstrated commitment to defending all of Tennessee’s vulnerable unborn children” and said the endorsement is “based on record of shared commitment and dedication to pro-life cause” in a statement.

“Tennessee Right to Life strongly believes that Senator Johnson’s record of support for the sanctity of human life makes him qualified to speak for those who have no other voice. We urge every pro-life voter in the 27th district to work and vote for his re-election,” added the statement.

“Senator Johnson represents Tennessee’s pro-life values and will be a consistent voice for those who can’t speak for themselves,” said Roger Kane, president of Tennessee Right to Life Political Action Committee.

“Tennesseans have made great strides in restoring common-sense protections for the unborn and for abortion-vulnerable women, girls and families. But there remains much work to do which will require courage and conviction now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade,” Kane added.

Johnson said he takes the responsibility of protecting those who can’t protect themselves “very seriously”, and that he is “honored” to receive the Tennessee Right to Life’s endorsement.

“Particularly following the Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade, I am proud of the work we have done in Tennessee to protect the right to life, and I will continue to lead the fight to ensure that Tennessee prioritizes protecting our unborn,” he said.

Yes, Every Kid

Tennessee Right to Life is the state’s oldest and largest pro-life organization.

The Tennessee Star previously reported that the National Rifle Association (NRA) endorsed Johnson additionally in early July.

In addition to the endorsement, the NRA gave Johnson an “A+” rating for his voting record and response to its legislative survey.

Johnson told The Star at the time he was “tremendously honored” to receive the NRA’s endorsement.

“I’m a lifetime member of the NRA. I view them as the premier organization standing for and defending our Second Amendment rights. I’m proud to have their endorsement,” said Johnson.

Johnson represents Senate District 27, which consists of part of Williamson County.

Early voting for the August 4 Republican primary runs from July 15 and ends July 30.

Of course, they do! TNR2L and Jack Johnson are two of the main reasons why the case that will go down in history as being the case that overturned Roe v. Wade came out of Mississippi and NOT Tennessee! It’s shameful!

Gone are the days of Tennesseans who would stand up for principles, no matter the cost! If our leaders of today went back in time, here’s what it would sound like, “Oh, you want to take the Alamo, and all of Texas with it, here, go right ahead! I don’t want to break a nail”. Or, “what you want me to take out those machine gun nests, I’ll think about it after I finish my latte!”
