Democrats Experience Premature Articulation of Impeachment During Sondland ‘Quid Pro Quo’ Testimony

When U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland testified before the House Intelligence Committee’s impeachment inquiry hearing on Wednesday, Democrats initially believed he had given them the testimony they’ve been seeking for three years to build an article of impeachment against President Trump. “I know that members of this committee frequently frame these complicated issues in the form of a simple question. Was there a quid pro quo? As I testified previously, with regard to the requested White House call and the White House meeting, the answer is yes. Mr. Guiliani conveyed to Secretary Perry, Ambassador Volker and others that President Trump wanted a public statement from President Zelensky committing to investigations of Burisma and the 2016 election,” Sondland asserted during his opening statement. Sondland went on to say that “everyone was in the loop.” “It was no secret. Everyone was informed by email on July 19, days before the presidential call.” The mainstream media breathlessly reported Sondland’s “quid pro quo” claim. But Sondland’s bold assertion wilted on cross examination from Republican members of the committee when Sondland admitted he simply “presumed” there was a “quid pro quo” and he had no direct evidence that the president had…

Steve Bannon Thinks the Hong Kong Protests Are the Most ‘Important’ World Event Currently Occurring

Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon believes the Hong Kong protests are the most “important event” happening in the world right now. “It’s monumentally important. Number one, remember the whole world has bought into this lie that the Chinese people are not ready for democracy, that the Chinese people can’t govern themselves,” Bannon told The Epoch Times in an interview. “I keep saying it’s the most racist thing I’ve ever heard, it’s unacceptable that the world’s capitals and the world’s media and the world’s established order have bought into this.” Tensions started in Hong Kong when a proposed bill would have allowed for transferring people to China for trial. Critics believed this legislation would hurt semi-autonomous Hong Kong, and said that residents transferred to China might not receive the same political rights. To show their displeasure, more than a million people in Hong Kong took to the streets June 9 to protest this proposed bill being pushed by Hong Kong’s Chief Executive Carrie Lam. Quickly, the protests became violent as police and demonstrators clashed. Public Policy Experts Engage in Panel Discussion on Threat Posed by China to American, Indian Economies

A who’s who list of public policy experts on Saturday expounded upon the “unrestricted warfare” that has been waged for decades by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) against American electronics and other manufacturers and the importance of India’s help in fighting this threat. The National Indian American Public Policy Institute and the Committee on the Present Danger: China (CPDC) hosted the public event, forum and panel discussion Saturday afternoon at The Rana-Reagan Community Center in Carol Stream, Illinois, according to a press release. One of the panelists, Steve Bannon, former strategic advisor to President Donald Trump, provided The Tennessee Star an exclusive quote Saturday concerning the panel discussion. “It’s a great honor to address the Republican Hindu Coalition on the most vital issue facing America — the economic war China is engaged in against the industrial democratic West,” he said. “Few have felt the brunt of this more than the entrepreneurs of the Hindu American community as the manufacturing base was shipped to China. Today marks the beginning of an effort to reverse this.” Video coverage of the event is available here. Bannon Says Biden Is Making ‘Happy Talk’ to Hide His Financial Ties to Chinese Communist Party

Joe Biden is “a useful idiot” for the Chinese Communist Party, Steve Bannon told The John Fredericks Radio Network. The full interview with Bannon is available here. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vz2H25yyIBo&feature=youtu.be Bannon, with Citizens for the American Republic, has long said it is globalists like Biden who are managing the decline of economies all over the world, Fredericks said. Bannon criticized a story by The Hill as “an outrageous attack” on Trump concerning China. Biden, in Iowa, is trying to “happy talk his way past China.” However, Biden has not addressed his being compromised by China’s communist government and how his son Hunter allegedly took $1.5 billion from the Bank of China. “That’s how the Chinese Communist party does influence peddling,” Bannon said. The Community Party provides capital for politicians. Yet Biden blames Trump for China’s economic war against America, Bannon said. Biden supported NAFTA and every trade deal to destroy middle-class jobs. Trump is the first president to engage the Communist Party in an economic war and bring the supply chain back to the U.S., Bannon said. “He’s the only president who stood up for the middle-class people.” In The Hill story, Biden called Trump an “existential threat” to the nation,…

House Democrats Move to Subpoena Mueller Report

The majority Democrats on a House of Representatives committee are moving this week to subpoena the full report from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and five former White House officials. The House Judiciary Committee had called for full disclosure by Tuesday of the nearly 400-page report and its underlying evidence. Attorney General William Barr said last week that he would release the report by mid-April, “if not sooner,” after confidential material had been redacted. With its Tuesday deadline unlikely to be met, the House panel plans to vote to authorize the subpoenas on Wednesday, allowing the committee’s chairman, Congressman Jerrold Nadler, to actually issue them as he sees fit. The House committee also plans to subpoena some of President Donald Trump’s closest one-time advisers — White House strategist Steve Bannon, communications director Hope Hicks, his first chief of staff Reince Priebus, White House counsel Donald McGahn and McGahn’s chief of staff, Ann Donaldson. The five officials were likely key witnesses during Mueller’s investigation of whether Trump obstructed justice by trying to thwart the prosecutor’s 22-month probe. A week ago, Barr released a four-page summary of the Mueller report, telling top lawmakers…

We Build the Wall, Inc. Heads to Detroit for Third Town Hall

We Build the Wall, Inc. is hitting the road for Detroit Thursday night. The Ohio Star was there for We Build the Wall, Inc.’s stop Tuesday night in Cincinnati, which featured panelists such as former White House strategist Steve Bannon, Sheriff David Clarke, and former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach. We Build the Wall, Inc., which now counts Bannon as its chairman, was formed out of veteran Brian Kolfage’s famous GoFundMe page that he started to help raise funds for the border wall. Now, the group’s plan is to start building sections of the wall on private land, with private money, and with the help of private citizens. “We are thrilled to sponsor the ‘We Build the Wall’ rallies this week in Ohio and Detroit,” said Jim Hoft of The Gateway Pundit, one of the organizations sponsoring the town halls. “The border issue is not just something that affects those Americans in Texas, California, Arizona and New Mexico. The unbelievable flood of refugees and illegal immigrants streaming across the southern border is truly a national emergency. No country can handle this constant flow of tens of thousands of civilians and the strain it puts on an already stressed welfare system.”…

We Build the Wall, Inc. in Ohio: ‘You, Sherrod Brown, are Complicit in the Death of This Lady’s Daughter’

CINCINNATI, Ohio – We Build the Wall, Inc., an organization launched by triple-amputee veteran Brian Kolfage, hosted its second town hall Tuesday night in downtown Cincinnati. Kolfage drew national media attention in December for launching a GoFundMe page to help pay for President Donald Trump’s border wall, and has now received more than $20 million in donations. The event began with a standing ovation for Kolfage, who said his “team of experts” is prepared to break ground on building sections of the wall by the end of April. “I was just fed up with the way our politicians were handling it. I’m just a common person like you guys just sitting on my couch pissed off,” Kolfage said of his fundraiser. “It didn’t seem like our politicians were taking it serious, and for as long as I can remember we’ve been promised border security. We’re always promised this and they weren’t followed through, and I’d had enough of it.” While the town hall was held in Ohio, thousands of miles from the southern border, Tuesday night’s group of panelists repeatedly emphasized that the border crisis affects the whole country. “I’m in Cincinnati very simply because the border crisis is in Ohio.…

Commentary: How Mitch McConnell Will Reveal the Best Candidate in Every Primary

by Jeffrey A. Rendall   “Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck” — Dalai Lama XIV It’s not surprising after a loss of epic proportions like the one conservatives and Republicans suffered the other night in Alabama that the post-election blame game is being played with an intensity rarely found in the normally sedate halls of the Washington political castle. Just like with sore loser Cam Newton (of the Carolina Panthers) after his team got “sacked” in the 2016 Super Bowl, there was no shortage of raw emotion and contempt in the reactions of interested conservatives to Judge Roy Moore’s narrow defeat in the usually deep red state. For the eternally Trump-hating #NeverTrump crowd there was jubilation, however, perhaps a release of repressed frustration stored up from so much losing over the past two years. In a post titled “**WHEW**”, bitter and obnoxious (and irrelevant) #NeverTrumper Caleb Howe wrote at Red State, “This is not an article about how bad Roy Moore is. The race is over, we have the future to discuss. But these reminders must be here, because we see everywhere Republicans who choose still not to face the reality of Roy. The truth is that Moore…

Bannon Stumps for Roy Moore, Telling Alabama, ‘They Want to Take Your Voice Away’

Bannon, who returned to his old job of running Breitbart News after leaving the White House, told a crowd of fired-up supporters that Moore prevailed against the Establishment’s hand-picked senator, Republican Luther Strange, despite getting outspent 16-1.

Commentary: Bannon and Viguerie Meet, RINOs and Democrats Get Halloween Fright

by ConservativeHQ.com Staff   CHQ Chairman Richard A. Viguerie and executive chairman of Breitbart News Steven K. Bannon got together on Halloween at the Fortieth annual meeting of the Pumpkin Papers Irregulars – an annual dinner celebrating the life and legacy of Whittaker Chambers – and Washington’s RINOs and Democrats were left quaking in their boots. The icebreaker for the evening’s event was Mr. Viguerie’s Halloween costume – a Steve Bannon disguise, complete with a cork gun to blow away the Washington establishment. In his remarks to the group Bannon identified two existential threats to the United States and constitutional liberty; political Islam in an axis stretching from central Asia through Persia to the Mediterranean, and – especially important before President Trump’s trip to Asia – Chinese mercantilism. In his remarks Bannon emphasized the themes he injected into a flagging Trump campaign that rocketed Trump from being as much as 16 points behind Hillary Clinton in the early Fall to his 306 to 232 electoral vote demolition of Clinton on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Echoing remarks he made earlier this summer that the economic war with China is everything. And we have to be focused on that. If we continue…

Commentary: With Bannon as Their Guardian Angel, the GOP Senate Will Want to Live Again

by Jeffery A Rendall   We’re still two months away from Christmas yet it’s never too early to anticipate the good times ahead when we’ll observe the sacred traditions that stimulate positive memories from the past. For me, one such ritual is revisiting the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life,” the tale of everyman George Bailey (played by Jimmy Stewart) and his look back at his own life alongside guardian angel Clarence who was sent to Bedford Falls to help the small town good-guy realize that he’d really led a very consequential and worthwhile existence. There’s a part of the legendary movie that reminds me a little of what’s going on with elements of the Republican donor establishment these days. In one famous scene, Mr. Potter, the film’s greedy old scrooge-like miser invites Bailey into his office to try and sweet-talk the man into abandoning his business, thus obtaining through addition what Potter couldn’t earn through beating his rival at his own game. Unsurprisingly, Bailey informs Potter he won’t be bought. How does George Bailey and Mr. Potter relate to today’s noxious DC swamp? Some GOP establishment groups are bringing in Steve Bannon to headline their events, in essence to “hire”…

Bob Corker Undermines American Foreign Policy Again, Says President Trump ‘Cannot Publicly Castrate’ Secretary of State Tillerson

A reckless Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) undermined President Trump and American foreign policy once again on Friday with a stunningly irresponsible statement made during an interview with the Washington Post. “You cannot publicly castrate your own secretary of state without giving yourself that binary choice,” Corker told the Post. Corker described his use of “binary choice” language by stating the president was “creating scenarios in which the United States might be forced to choose between waging war on North Korea or Iran or allowing those countries to threaten the U.S. with nuclear weapons,” Politico reported:   According to Corker, the secretary was in fact one of Trump’s greatest assets, and had made strides toward improving relationships with other global powers, notably China. “The greatest diplomatic activities we have are with China, and the most important, and they have come a long, long way,” he said. “Some of the things we are talking about are phenomenal.” It was an unprecedented and disturbing attack on the president of his own party by the current chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Conservatives and supporters of President Trump around the country immediately escalated their criticism of Corker. On Saturday, “Former White House chief…

Commentary: Establishment Still Suffers from Steve Bannon Derangement Syndrome

by Jeffrey A. Rendall If one were tasked with devising a test to determine whether a person was a card-carrying member of the Washington Republican establishment all he or she would need to do is mention the words “Steve Bannon” to the subject and jot down the individual’s reactions accordingly. For although Bannon has been officially gone from the White House for a month the elites can’t stop taking shots at President Donald Trump’s former senior advisor and now head man at the unapologetically conservative Breitbart News. Bannon remains a central figure in President Trump’s orbit even though he no longer has office space in the West Wing. Judging by the degree of animosity Bannon engenders from the ruling class, he might as well be permanently planted on top of the president’s desk. It’s starting to get ugly. David French wrote at National Review the other day, “On 60 Minutes [Sunday] night, the man [Steve Bannon] credited with shaping Trump’s ‘America First’ brand of politics clearly and unequivocally declared his disdain for George W. Bush and Bush’s entire national-security team, calling them ‘idiots’ and saying that he holds them ‘in contempt, total and complete contempt.’… “There’s no substitute for forward-deployed…

Richard Viguerie Commentary: Does Bannon’s Departure Signal the End of Trump’s Commitment to Govern as a Conservative?

by Richard A. Viguerie ConservativeHQ.com Chairman   In the wake of the announcement that Senior Advisor and Chief Strategist Steve Bannon was leaving the White House staff, ConservativeHQ.com Chairman Richard A. Viguerie asked the question on the minds of many conservatives: Personnel is policy. Does Steve Bannon’s departure signal the end of Donald Trump’s commitment to govern as a conservative? “It seems that the West Wing is now being run by the liberal Democrats,” said Mr. Viguerie. “Gary Cohn, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, General John Kelly, H.R. McMaster, and the Obama holdovers at the NSC, have all survived and thrived, while the conservatives like Steve Bannon, Derek Harvey, Ezra Cohen-Watnick, Rich Higgins, and even the establishment Republicans like Reince Priebus and Sean Spicer, have been run-off.” “One wonders if the firing of Steve Bannon signals a general purge of conservatives on the White House staff,” observed Mr. Viguerie. “When Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway joined Donald Trump’s campaign, conservatives were electrified—and many who had previously been skeptical were convinced that a Donald Trump administration would be a conservative administration as long as Steve and Kellyanne were at Trump’s side,” concluded Viguerie. “As I explained in my book TAKEOVER, personnel…

Commentary: Mr. President, Steve Bannon Is Your Last Best Link With Your Base

by ConservativeHQ.com Staff Steve Bannon, formerly executive chairman of Breitbart News and CEO of Donald Trump’s winning campaign for President and now President Trump’s White House Senior Advisor is the target of a vile campaign of slander for one reason and one reason only – he is an iron-willed advocate of the positions that won Donald Trump the presidency. It was through the political and marketing genius of Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway that the anti-Trump message that Donald Trump so effectively communicated in his rallies was forged into a winning political coalition of populists and conservatives. And it is Steve Bannon who represents the strongest and most direct link between the White House and the conservative – populist ideas and people who won Donald Trump the presidency – which is why Bannon has been under almost constant attack since the day he walked across West Exec and into his West Wing office. So, it should really come as no surprise to anyone that as the President’s National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster has been attacked for retaining dozens of Obama holdovers on the National Security Council staff and for what conservatives and populists see as his dangerous advice to…

Newt to Mooch: Slow Your Roll, Learn the Job

Newt Gingrich leveled a heavy rebuke of the erratic and unproductively bombastic outbursts by President Trump’s new White House Communications Director Anthony “Mooch” Scaramucci Thursday, in two separate appearances with conservative talker Laura Ingraham. The first was on The Laura Ingraham Show, where he admonished the freshly-minted Communications Director to ‘learn to do the job.’ Here is a transcript of the exchange: INGRAHAM: …What do you take away from this most recent 24 hour period with Scaramucci? GINGRICH: I think that Scaramucci had better be a lot more careful than he has been. He obviously likes the lime light he obviously likes being in the media. I would say right now he is being more pugnacious than effective. He ought to slow down a little bit and learn what he is doing. I think that he things he said about Reince, if he said them, where is his proof? I mean it’s totally unhelpful having someone going around starting family fights in public and if he is going to be that divisive I’m not sure if he is going to be that useful to the president. Commentary: To Make America Great Again Trump Must Trust Conservatives to Help Him

Jeffrey A. Rendall Is the trouble Donald Trump is experiencing with filling out his administration due to his not having enough friends? The annual arrival of Good Friday reminds us all that even the most exalted of individuals can find himself without supporters when times get tense. Donald Trump is certainly not Jesus in any sense of the word or concept but there is one slight analogy here – the savior died on the cross because he was betrayed and keeping promises denied by those around him when he needed their help the most.
