by CHQ Staff “Fox & Friends” reported on Sunday morning that a “small army of migrants [is] marching toward the United States.” The UK’s Daily Mail also reports “An army of a thousand migrants from Central America are marching through Mexico to the US where they hope to get in by any means – legal or not.” And the UK outlet reports, “the number is only growing,” and “So far no one in Mexico has tried to stop them.” What does a normal country do when its border and sovereignty are threatened by a hostile army? It sends troops to defend its border, and in some cases, it may even interdict the hostile army before it can breach the border. This is the situation the United States finds itself in today as a hostile army, variously estimated at one to two thousand – and growing – is crossing Mexico headed toward the United States – and they are not merely a ragtag mob, they are organized. According to the Daily Mail the group has committees devoted to food, security and logistics. CNN reports they are being guided by an organization known as “Pueblo Sin Fronteras,” or People Without Borders, the…

Mexican Leader’s Visit with Trump Shelved Over Wall
Mexico and the United States have shelved tentative plans for a visit to Washington by President Enrique Pena Nieto as tensions persist over a proposed border wall, US media reported Saturday. Pena Nieto had already cancelled a visit in January last year because of US President Donald Trump’s insistence that Mexico pay for the wall, which he wants as part of his efforts to curb immigration.

In light of Democrats – and some Republicans – push for “amnesty now, reforms later,” gubernatorial hopeful Mae Beavers issued a statement Tuesday reiterating her support of President Trump’s plans to secure the nation’s borders, as well as implement critical reforms to the immigration system including ending the practice of so-called “chain migration” and the Visa lottery, making mandatory the use of the federally run E-Verify by every employer in America. “The cornerstone of President Trump’s campaign was to secure our border and stop the flood of illegal immigrants into our country,” Beavers pointed out. “Millions of Americans voted for him based on that campaign promise alone, and I have every confidence that President Trump intends to fulfill his promise,” adding: I encourage the Tennessee Congressional delegation to stand solidly with President Trump in rejecting any and all attempts to water down his campaign promises with some sort of ‘we will get to border security later’ scheme. Congress has promised to secure our border AFTER we grant certain levels of amnesty before. We always get the amnesty…but never the increased border security and enforcement of our immigration laws. I am calling on our entire Tennessee Senate and Congressional delegation to make it…

The House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday took an important step toward building President Donald Trump’s wall, advancing legislation containing money for the barrier, along with beefed-up border security. The committee, on a party-line 18-12 vote, sent the Border Security for America Act of 2017 to the full House of Representatives. It has $10 billion for…

Democrats and liberals hate the idea of a border wall so much that they would abandon the so-called “dreamers” if it were part of an amnesty compromise, according to a poll released Wednesday. The Bloomberg/Morning Consult survey not surprisingly found widespread support for granting legal status to illegal immigrants whose parents brought them as children to…

Improved security has made it harder than ever to illegally cross into the U.S. from Mexico, and Border Patrol agents are catching a higher percentage of those who try, according to a new report from the Department of Homeland Security. The report from the DHS Office of Immigration Statistics used arrest and migrant survey data to…

by Roy Beck A new national poll of “likely midterm voters” finds 55% of them favoring a bill that “would allow immigrants to bring in their spouse and minor children but would end migration of extended family.” Only 32% of the voters say they oppose eliminating the Chain Migration categories. With so much speculation the last two days about what the President would require to be part of any DACA amnesty, his tweet September 15 was a welcome one: CHAIN MIGRATION cannot be allowed to be part of any legislation on Immigration! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 15, 2017 Although the brief tweet could have been clearer, we assume the President meant that “Chain Migration categories cannot be allowed to continue in any immigration legislation.” That would be consistent with his repeated support over the last year for the concept and legislation to reduce overall legal immigration, primarily by ending Chain Migration categories for extended family members beyond spouse and minor children. Majorities support all parts of the ‘RAISE Act’ The scientific survey of 1,000 likely midterm voters conducted by Pulse Opinion Research found strong majorities supporting all parts of the RAISE Act, which the White House stated Friday afternoon…
