Protest organizers expect approximately 50,000 people to gather in Washington, D.C., on Saturday to protest President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration.

The number is drastically smaller than the 500,000 people that protested Trump’s first inauguration in 2017, but experts told The Hill that the protest this year is to keep voters engaged rather than portray the emotions that are felt regarding Trump’s second victory.

Tennessee High School Band Selected to Perform at Presidential Inaugural Parade in D.C.

The Stewarts Creek High School band is set to perform at next month’s inauguration of 47th U.S. President Donald Trump and the 50th U.S. Vice President JD Vance in Washington, D.C.

The high school band was selected by the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee to perform at the 60th Presidential Inaugural Parade on January 20, 2025 shortly after Trump and Vance are officially sworn into office.

Zuckerberg’s Meta Gave $1 Million To Trump’s Inaugural Fund

Meta donated $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural fund, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

The donation comes amid a thaw in relations between Trump and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, with Zuckerberg paying a visit to Trump’s private Mar-a-Lago club in Florida two weeks ago, according to The WSJ. Zuckerberg and Meta did not donate to Trump’s inaugural fund in 2017 or to President Biden’s fund in 2021.
