Mental health and addiction services are now available on the MyTN app, according to the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS).
The latest version of the state of Tennessee’s mobile app – available for download on iOS and Android devices – includes a new section for mental health and addiction resources featuring the top services from TDMHSAS.

Users can call or text the Statewide Crisis Line and the Tennessee REDLINE through the app. The Tennessee Statewide Crisis Line, available 24 hours a day/365 days a year, is a resource for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis, while the Tennessee REDLINE is a 24/7/365 resource for substance abuse treatment referrals.
The Tennessee REDLINE can be used by calling or texting 800-889-9789. The Tennessee Statewide Crisis Line can be accessed by calling 855-CRISIS-1 (855-274-7471).
The MyTN app, TDMHSAS notes, also has information on connecting to treatment services for people who are uninsured including the Behavioral Health Safety Net and addiction treatment Continuum of Care.
In addition, the app also contains a section called “Spread Hope,” which has information and access to several department programs which work to “prevent behavioral health issues or train and educate people about ways they can help a loved one or make a difference in their community,” according to TDMHSAS.

It’s direct access to services on your phone – most of the time, in just one click.”
