Chris Ruddy, CEO and chairman of Newsmax, is encouraging Americans to invest in the media company as it began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) last month.
On March 31, Newsmax’s Class B Common Stock began trading on the NYSE under the symbol “NMAX.”
Ruddy, who founded Newsmax in 1998, touted the media company’s rise over the years in the cable news space and through its online news website and digital app.
“Newsmax is growing really well. We went public on March 31 on the New York Stock Exchange. The stock soared into multi-billion valuation and it’s doing pretty well…The Financial Times had the best article, they said that Newsmax was the pro-Trump network with a bright future. That was its headline,” Ruddy said on Wednesday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.
“I think we have a bright future,” Ruddy added.
Ruddy detailed how Newsmax viewership has grown 50 percent from last year, further pointing to the media company’s influence in the news world.
“Newsmax is up, in Q1 of this year, we had a 50 percent increase in our total audience, Just over the past year, we went from 22 million to 34 million people who tuned in…This doesn’t happen in cable often,” Ruddy said.
“This is a huge development and I think it’s one of the reasons why many people see the future of Newsmax. They can, if they want, check with their investment advisors and buy shares on the New York Stock Exchange for Newsmax. We say, we want you to become part of our news revolution by joining with us and being a share owner,” Ruddy added.
Ruddy continued, urging consumers to familiarize themselves with Newsmax by reviewing the company’s SEC reports and becoming part owners of the network’s “news revolution.”
“Check out Newsmax on the New York Stock Exchange, NMAX, and certainly go to our website, Newsmaxinvest.com, read all of the SEC reports, get familiar with our company, and become a part owner of our news revolution,” Ruddy said.
