Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office to Be Featured on Hit-Series COPS Television Show Exclusively on FOX Nation

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office announced on Thursday that its agency will, once again, be featured on the hit-series COPS television show.

According to a news release from the agency, COPS film crews rode with Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies for approximately nine weeks beginning in September 2020 to film segments for Season 33 and captured numerous stories and incident footage for their television series. Altogether, five episodes were filmed and will air beginning in mid-November of 2021.

Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Hammond said in a statement, “I am very pleased that our agency has once again been chosen to partner with COPS to display the talent, expertise, and professionalism shown by our deputies not only to the members of our community, but to the world. Many men and women who serve in law enforcement today, including several in our agency, watched COPS as a young child or adult and chose a profession in law enforcement based on what they saw on COPS. We can use this unique opportunity as a way to recruit the best and brightest to our ranks.”

After being canceled in wake of the George Floyd protests last year, FOX Nation inherited the rights to the show and announced this week that the series would be returning with Season 33 on its streaming platform.

In making the announcement, Fox Nation President Jason Klarman said, “COPS is one of the most iconic brands on television with an incredibly passionate fan base. We wanted to show our appreciation to all first responders by combining the launch with a free one-year subscription to give back in a small way to those who place their lives on the line every day to keep us safe.”

According to FOX News, the 8-episode revival season is scheduled to air on Friday, October 1, with Fox Nation releasing four episodes for fans to binge. Each Friday thereafter, an additional episode will be released until Friday, October 29.
