Ohio Governor Mike DeWine (R) endorsed 31 legislative acts last week which now become part of Ohio law. The list of the bills below comes directly from press releases issued by the Governor’s office.
House Bill 1, sponsored by Representatives Phil Plummer (R-Dayton) and Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo), modifies intervention in lieu of conviction/sealing requirements.
House Bill 210, sponsored by Representative Sara Carruthers (R-Hamilton), requires the screening of prospective employer for tuberculosis in child care settings.
House Bill 388, sponsored by Representative Adam Holmes (R-Nashport), addresses out-of-network health care.
House Bill 409, sponsored by Representative Kyle Koehler (R-German Twp.), modifies attendance and participation standards at computer-based community schools
House Bill 442, sponsored by Representatives Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) and Thomas West (D-Canton), modifies certified public accountant qualifications.
House Bill 450, sponsored by Representative Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill), regards transition of duties of fiscal officers and treasurers.
House Bill 674, sponsored by Representative Brett Hudson Hillyer (R-Urichsville), revises liquor laws.
Senate Bill 9, sponsored by Senator Matt Huffman (R-District 12), releases claim information to group health plan policyholders.
Senate Bill 10, sponsored by Senator Steve Wilson (R-District 7), expands the penalty for theft in office, and restitution for audit costs.
Senate Bill 68, sponsored by Senator Sandra Williams (D-District 21), allows community service in lieu of driver reinstatement fee.
Senate Bill 276, sponsored by Senators Kristina Roegner (R-District 27) and Nathan Manning (R-District 13), enacts Ohio Revised Limited Liability Company Act.

House Bill 32, sponsored by Representative Dick Stein (R-Norwalk), suggests ceremonial procedures for retiring state flags, and designates four health-related awareness days and months.

Senate Bill 263, sponsored by Senator Bob D. Hackett (R-District 10), prohibits a pharmacy benefit manager from taking certain actions with respect to reimbursements made to health care providers that participate in the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program.

House Bill 436, sponsored by Representative Brian Baldridge (R-Cherry Fork), provides additional tool for screening and supporting children with dyslexia.

House Bill 473, sponsored by former Representative J. Todd Smith (R-Germantown), permits the state motto, “With God, all things are Possible,” to be used alongside the Ohio State Seal.
Senate Bill 256, sponsored by Senator Nathan Manning (R-District 13) and former Senator Peggy Lehner (R-District 6), regards sentencing offenders under the age of 18.
Senate Bill 259, sponsored by Senator Vernon Sykes (D-District 28), authorizes the conveyance of state-owned real property.
Senate Bill 260, sponsored by Senator Steve Huffman (R-District 5), regards abortion-inducing drugs.
Senate Bill 312, sponsored by Senator Rob McColley (R-District 1), creates the Hardin Court of Common Pleas Domestic Relations Division.
