New Poll: U.S. Senate Candidate J.D. Vance Becomes Front Runner in Ohio Race

The latest poll of Ohio Republican voters showed bestselling author J.D. Vance rising above the pack to become the front runner in the race for the U.S. Senate.

The survey, conducted by Fox News, details that Vance has been boosted by the endorsement of former President Donald Trump.

Vance holds 23 percent of the support in the GOP primary, followed by Josh Mandel at 18 percent. Businessman Mike Gibbons and State Senator Matt Dolan (R-Columbus) hold 13 percent and 11 percent, respectively.

Because of the large number of candidates, the race remains tight. However, 42 percent of individuals noted that they are more supportive of Vance due to the Trump endorsement.

“MAGA patriots from across the nation are set to deliver an election landslide for Republicans that will serve as a devastating rebuke of the failures of Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats,” Trump said in a statement backing the candidate. “In the Great State of Ohio, the candidate most qualified and ready to win in November is J.D. Vance. We cannot play games. It is all about winning!”

“He is our best chance for victory in what could be a very tough race. The Democrats will be spending many millions of dollars, but the good news is that they have a defective candidate who ran for president and garnered exactly zero percent in the polls. The bottom line is, we must have a Republican victory in Ohio. ”

A key point for many voters in the poll was the candidate’s ability to win the general election against presumptive Democratic nominee Tim Ryan, a section Vance received high marks in.

However, a larger number of voters, 25 percent, remain undecided in the race. Therefore, candidates must continue to make their pitch to voters as the primary date draws closer.

Many voters have already cast a ballot as early voting is underway ahead of the May 3 election day.
