Ohio Senate Candidate J.D. Vance Touts Marjorie Taylor Greene Endorsement

Ohio U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance announced an endorsement Tuesday from one Congress’ most ardent supporters of former President Donald J. Trump.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said the following about Vance:

JD is 100% pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment and pro-Trump. He will fight to end unconstitutional vaccine and mask mandates, break up big tech companies that censor conservatives, expand American manufacturing by putting tariffs on the woke corporations that ship our jobs overseas, and will do everything in his power to secure the border and stop Biden’s repeated attempts to grant amnesty to millions of illegals. If you agree with me that Washington desperately needs more America First fighters in the mold of President Trump, then it’s vital to support JD’s campaign in Ohio.

Vance gladly accepted the endorsement.

“I am so honored to have Marjorie’s support. I’ve gotten to know her over the last year, and she’s precisely the type of leader we need in our party: genuine, honest, and courageous. Unfortunately, there are too few like her, and so long as that’s the case, Republicans may win an election from time to time, but we’ll never do the difficult work of truly taking our country back from the leftwing mob and the woke corporations,” Vance said in the release. “Twitter recently censored Marjorie, but they can’t stop the America First movement from growing all over the country. When I’m in the Senate, Marjorie will have an ally, and there will be real consequences for the people destroying our Republic.”

Support from Trump and his allies in Washington is still a major litmus test for candidates in the 2022 midterm elections, and solidifying support from the Trump base is a major boost.

A source close to the Vance campaign confirmed as much to The Ohio Star.

Yes, Every Kid

That source said that the endorsement is particularly helpful in the way of bolstering Vance’s credentials as a pro-Trump, America First candidate. When Trump first ran for office, Vance did not support him, which is viewed by some Ohioans as a red flag.

The source also said that Taylor Greene’s support is more than just an endorsement, and that Ohioans can expect to see her helping Vance engage the grassroots in the state.

“We expect her to be active in the campaign,” the source said.

Vance said Taylor Greene will join him on a January 30 campaign event in Loveland, as part of his “No BS Tour.”
