Stacey Abrams Taps Hollywood Elite to Secure Ossoff and Warnock Win

Democratic activist and failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams has tapped Hollywood’s elite to help with the senatorial runoff race. Abrams began hosting the weekly briefings with celebrities, their agents, and Hollywood executives on Friday through Fair Fight, Abrams’ voting rights organization.

“I believe very much in the power of celebrity to cut through the noise of politics,” stated Abrams.

Fair Fight has categorized itself as a nonpartisan organization, though it has actively engaged in campaign efforts for Democratic candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.

One of Abrams’ coordinated efforts with celebrity artists will be a virtual concert. Tickets range from $5 to $25,000; featured performers include John Legend, Common, Earthgang, Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie, and Indigo Girls.

The same day that Abrams began briefing celebrities, the cast of Crossing Jordan hosted a virtual reunion.

Other familiar Hollywood elites to have contributed their time and money include Selena Gomez, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Kerry Washington, and Stephen Curry.

These celebrities each have anywhere from several to hundreds of millions in net worths, and all the perks of fame to boot such as multiple sprawling homes, car collections, and luxurious getaways.

Abrams culled these cream of the crop celebrities, though Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock have both emphasized that the middle-class, working families, and small businesses are their priority.

A spokesperson for the campaign to re-elect Senator David Perdue (R-GA) shared with The Georgia Star News that West Coast celebrities are involved in this race to further their progressive agendas – not for the benefit of Georgians.

“It’s clear that Hollywood liberals, not Georgia families, are powering the Ossoff-Warnock ticket,” stated Perdue for Senate Communications Director John Burke. “These California radicals know that Ossoff and Warnock are their pathway to defunding the police, imposing the socialist Green New Deal, and abolishing ICE, while taking the people of Georgia’s vote in the Senate away from them. We cannot let that happen.”

Georgia’s runoff election will impact Congress’ landscape. Ossoff and Warnock wins would likely gridlock the Senate. And if Democratic candidate Kamala Harris assumes office, she would serve as the deciding vote for a divided Senate.

Fair Fight didn’t respond with comment by press time.
