TRUMPDATE: Latest from the Team Trump Virginia Campaign for September 23

Welcome to a new Wednesday edition of our daily Virginia Trump campaign update! We will provide our readers with daily updates on the Trump Virginia campaign from today to November 3 (and after…if need be!).

It’s officially 41 days until the election on November 3 – and six days until President Trump and Joe Biden square off in the first presidential debate.

It appears President Trump will have enough support from Republicans in the Senate to vote and potentially confirm the president’s nominee for the Supreme Court vacancy left by the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) in recent days commented publicly that they would vote on a nominee for the nation’s high court after the upcoming election. With Republicans in the Senate allowed up to three abstentions or down votes, the focus turned to Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT). Romney announced Tuesday that he intends to vote on whoever the nominee is, assuring The White House that, presumably, there will be no roadblocks in the process.

The president is expected to announce his nominee Friday or Saturday.

Trump Rally in Newport News

Not only will President Trump potentially reveal his Supreme Court nominee on Friday, but later that night the president will be speaking at a rally in Virginia.

Details emerged Tuesday on the rally which will take place at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the event will begin at 9:00 p.m. You can request up to two tickets to attend by going to events.donaldjtrump.com.

Supporters can expect to hear from President Trump about his Supreme Court nominee, along with remarks about federal races happening in Virginia.

The president recently spoke to supporters of Republican candidate Bob Good, voicing his endorsement for Good in his race against Cameron Webb for Virginia’s 5th District congressional seat.

But President Trump will likely speak on the races involving Daniel Gade and Scott Taylor as well.

The Virginia Star will have full coverage of the president’s rally and speech this weekend.

The rally will be broadcast online for free, much like other Team Trump campaign events in the lead up to the 2020 election. Events will stream on Team Trump’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, on the Donald J. Trump Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch accounts, and at www.donaldjtrump.com/online.
