CROM CARMICHAEL:
Michael, there’s there was a very interesting column written by Victor Davis Hanson in The Epoch Times, and I’m just going to read a little tiny bit of it. What happened to the U.S. border? Where did it go? Who erased it, and why did 5 million people enter our country illegally? Did Congress secretly repeal our immigration laws?
Did President Joe Biden issue an executive order allowing foreign nationals to walk across the border and reside in the United States as they, please? Since when did the money not have to be paid back? Who insisted that more dollars in federal government be printed, that more prosperity would follow?
When did America embrace zero interest? Why do we believe $30 trillion in debt is no big deal? And this article goes on and on with things like asking questions. How did we get here? And what’s interesting, the question I ask is why do the establishment and the elites, support all of this? And they do.
And they support it for money and power. There was a related story. Hakeem Jefferies, who is now the leader of the Democrat Party in the House. Headline: Minority Leader Jeffrey says, “Pelosi Will Go Down in History as the Greatest Speaker of All Time.”
Hakeem Jefferies, who is the leader of the Democrat Party in the House of Representatives, probably speaks for 99 percent of the Democrats in not just the House, but in Washington, D.C. in terms of how they think of Nancy Pelosi and what a wonderful job she did.
You and I can sit here, and a lot of Americans and tens of millions of Americans think that the direction the country is headed in is terrible. In fact, over 70 percent of the American people in a poll think the country is going in the wrong direction. But Hakeem Jeffries thinks that Nancy Pelosi has led the country in the right direction.
In fact, she’s the greatest of all time. The GOAT of House Speakers. And then you have Victor Davis Hanson writing a very interesting article about how did we get here? And the answer, Michael, you and I have talked about it, but it deserves emphasis. We have two Americas.
We have Washington and those connected to Washington, and they benefit from the power and the growth of government. And then you have everybody else who pays for it in one way or another. And they’re the ones who are bearing the brunt of the expansion of big government.
And it’s going to be very interesting to see what’s going to happen over the next two years, and especially over the next six months. Republicans, if they wait around for the special counsel to finish his work on the classified documents, that will bleed into after the 2024 elections, in my opinion, this is a what Biden did, by his own standards, is a flagrant violation of national security and is a high crime.
They should hold hearings on that. They should then hold impeachment votes in the House and let Democrats in both the House and the Senate because it would then get passed over to the Senate.
All it takes is a majority in the House. And then let Democrat senators vote on the single question of whether or not taking classified documents and leaving them in two completely insecure environments and whether or not that is an impeachable offense because Kamala Harris has already indicated that she is ready to step up and that she’s ready to be president. She’s already indicated that and she’s chomping at the bit to see Joe Biden collapse.
