Biggs Officially Endorses Kari Lake

Republican gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake received a major endorsement from a sitting U.S. congressman.

“The Biden Administration and radical Democrats have put our nation at risk,” Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ-05) said in his Wednesday statement endorsing Lake. “Our southern border is being invaded, inflation is out of control, and my Democratic colleagues are spending recklessly. It’s time for States to push back on the federal government’s overreach and restore the vision of the Founding Fathers. We can only be successful by electing strong Governors. I know Kari Lake will stand up to the Biden Administration and protect the liberty we value in Arizona. I look forward to working with Governor Lake!”

For her part, Lake accepted the endorsement.

She said:

The primary is behind us and Arizona conservatives are uniting behind our great movement to put the people back in charge of our government. I am honored to have the support of strong conservatives like Andy Biggs and look forward to uniting our Republican Party, defeating the Democrats in November, and fighting for the America First agenda. The media wants us divided, but we will not give them the satisfaction. The stakes are simply too high.

Despite days of arduous vote counting, Lake won her primary last week.

Lake has echoed Biggs’s message before.

When former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home was raided by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents earlier this week, she discussed the Tenth Amendment as a possible remedy for government overreach.

“The Tenth Amendment can save our Republic, and the road to stripping the feds of power travels right through Arizona,” she said Monday. “We must fire the federal government. As governor, I will fight these tyrants with every fiber of my being. America – dark days lie ahead for us. May God protect us and save our country.”

The Tenth Amendment says explicitly that “powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
