GOP Lawmakers Demand Answers from Biden-Harris Admin on ‘Botched’ Rollout of Huge Jobs Revision

Office Work

Republican lawmakers wrote to Department of Labor (DOL) Acting Secretary Julie Su on Friday, slamming the agency for ignoring an oversight request regarding its “botched release” of data that showed the Biden-Harris administration had wildly overestimated job creation.

The August Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) release  — which revealed the U.S. economy had created more than 800,000 fewer jobs in the twelve months through March than the administration had claimed — was posted roughly a half hour late, with a slew of Wall Street investment firms obtaining details about the report at least 15 minutes before the public. Republican Reps. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina and Bob Good of Virginia issued an oversight request following the incident, which the DOL then failed to respond to, prompting the lawmakers to re-up their inquiry into whether or not the BLS favored Wall Street insiders over the American public, according to the letter obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Neiman Marcus Bans Christmas ‘In the Spirit of Inclusivity’

New York Post Neiman Marcus has quietly removed the word “Christmas” from its iconic, 98-year-old annual gift catalog – and some company insiders gripe that the stealthy switch smacks of woke politics, The Post has learned. The swanky retailer didn’t specifically discuss the pivot in a press release last week. But for the first time ever, it called the glossy catalog — long known for its extravagant gifts, from last year’s $975,000 electric Cadillac to his-and-her Egyptian mummy cases in 1971 — the “Holiday Book” instead of the “Christmas Book.” READ THE FULL STORY

Victor Davis Hanson Commentary: The Absurdity of Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris

As Vice President Kamala Harris slips in the polls, the Democratic National Committee/Harris Campaign/mainstream media fusion talking points become even more absurd and inane.

Claiming that J.D. Vance and Donald Trump were “weird” did not work — especially given the genuinely odd behavior of vice presidential candidate Tim Walz and would-be First Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

Mayes Joins Partisan AG Coalition Pushing Favorable Abortion Verdict in Idaho

Kris Mayes

Attorney General Kris Mayes joined 24 other attorneys general in filing an amicus brief in support of legalizing “emergency abortion care” for Idahoans in the case U.S. v. Idaho. This brief is the most recent event in the two-year long litigation process.

The initial lawsuit stems from the reversal of Roe v. Wade resulting in a near-total abortion ban in Idaho allowing exceptions only for rape and incest, accompanied by a signed report, or the immediate death of the mother. The key difference between Idaho’s ban on abortion and federal statute occurs when a woman is facing a serious threat to her health but not an immediate risk of losing her life.

Commentary: Stand Up for Women and Common Sense

Riley Gaines

Vice President Kamala Harris’s administration rewrote Title IX so that men can compete in women’s sports and invade private spaces meant for women. Here in Pennsylvania, the illegal Title IX rewrite is in effect. In fact, University of Pennsylvania has been ground zero in this fight.

This prestigious ivy league school infamously allowed a former male swimmer, Will Thomas, to join the women’s swim team as Lia. UPenn’s women’s swim team, including sexual assault survivor Paula Scanlan, were told not to complain about having to share changing space with the 6 foot 2 inch male, and not to complain that this male would be taking a women’s slot to swim in just about all their competitions. The women were silenced and marginalized, while Thomas’s “bravery” was applauded in the media, and UPenn leaders patted themselves on the back for being so progressive and inclusive.
