The U.S. military struck “multiple” Iranian oil tankers linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Tuesday in response to “more” attempted Iranian missile launches at U.S. Navy warships, a U.S. official told The Hill’s sister network NewsNation.
It is unclear which U.S. Navy warship was targeted.
U.S. forces struck an oil tanker near Kharg Island, located in the northern Persian Gulf, Tasnim News Agency, a semiofficial news agency affiliated with the IRGC, reported Tuesday.
