As Nashville prepares to host its biggest Independence Day celebration yet, the city’s annual Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th event is set to be broadcast to a nationwide audience through Disney’s live television special, “Disney Celebrates America: Nashville’s Star-Spangled Bash,” as part of the America 250 commemoration.
The two-day celebration, taking place July 3-4 in downtown Nashville, will culminate with the three-hour special airing coast to coast on ABC, Disney+, Freeform, FX, Hulu, NatGeo, and the ESPN App from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. CDT on July 4.
Mark your calendars — this Fourth of July just got a whole lot bigger.

Hosted by Emmy Award-winning television personality Ryan Seacrest, the broadcast will showcase performances by The All-American Rejects, Boyz II Men, Brothers Osborne, Clint Black, Lauren Daigle, NE-YO, Nick Jonas and Sublime, along with appearances by Little Big Town, Reba McEntire, and Tim McGraw.
One of the event’s most anticipated highlights is the July 4 Fireworks and Drone Show, which organizers describe as the largest in the city’s history.
The show will feature 1,000 drones, the highest number ever used in Nashville’s Independence Day celebration, creating synchronized aerial displays above the Cumberland River.
For the first time, the fireworks show will include massive 12-inch shells, each weighing more than 20 pounds and soaring 1,200 feet into the air before exploding across a span of more than 1,000 feet, according to the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (NCVC).
More than 40,000 pounds of explosives, 1,000 floating flares, and a two-minute finale featuring thousands of fireworks will make the spectacle one of the most powerful in the country, NCVC said.
Beyond the nationally televised concert and fireworks display, Nashville visitors can enjoy a wide range of free activities throughout the city’s two-day celebration.
The event will feature multiple stages showcasing local and regional artists across genres including country, rock, blues, R&B, bluegrass, Americana, hip-hop, and Latin music.
Families can also visit the Amazon Family Fun Zone at Walk of Fame Park, which will offer games, inflatables, interactive activities, and entertainment for children.
Food trucks and vendors will be located throughout downtown, and performances by Nashville-area musicians, including Brittney Spencer, MŌRIAH, Charlie Worsham, and Kenny Sharp, will lead up to the July 4 evening headlining performances.
The free public event drew a record 365,000 attendees in 2025 and generated nearly $24 million in direct visitor spending, according to NCVC.
