Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his running mate have officially gained ballot access in Tennessee for the upcoming November 5 general election, the Tennessee Secretary of State’s Office announced.
Kennedy’s campaign submitted 1,025 signatures from registered voters in Tennessee to election officials on June 13 in an effort to gain ballot access for the November 5 election.
In Tennessee, candidates must submit at least 250 verified signatures from registered voters in the state to gain ballot access.
On August 8, Tennessee Coordinator of Elections Mark Goins sent a letter to Kennedy confirming the verification of his campaign’s petition containing the submitted signatures to gain ballot access for the general election.
“We are in receipt of your petition to be a candidate for the office of President of the United States in the state and federal general election to be held on November 5, 2024,” Goins wrote to Kennedy. “This letter is to inform you that your petition has been verified to have been signed by at least two hundred and seventy-five (275) Tennessee registered voters.”
In addition to Tennessee, Kennedy and his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, are officially on the ballot in 21 other states — Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and West Virginia.
Kennedy’s campaign has officially submitted enough signatures from registered voters to election officials in 18 states – Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C.
The campaign has also collected enough signatures for ballot access in six states: Alabama, Florida, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, and North Dakota.

I suppose that this is the way the election laws are set up. The only problems with Kennedy are that he is farther left than Harris and that he has going for him is money and the Kennedy name.
