The Tennessee Titans announced this week the complete architecture and engineering (A&E) team to help build its new $2.1 billion stadium.
The A&E team is comprised of 24 firms, including nine local businesses and 13 disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs).
The nine local businesses from Nashville as part of the A&E team include Community Solutions by Design, Culture Architecture and Design, DFH Services, EOA Architects, Hawkins Partners, Logan Patri Engineering, McCoy Design, RaganSmith, and Smith Seckman Reid.
“The architecture and engineering team’s role is to bring the stadium vision to life and ultimately deliver the construction plans to the construction manager,” Adolpho Birch, Titans senior vice president and chief external & league affairs officer, said in a statement. “We are tremendously excited by this A&E team, both for its considerable talent and its strong mix of local and diverse perspectives.”
The stadium’s architect of record, TVS, will hold all contracts with the sub consultants as they “work together through the completion of the stadium design and administration of construction activity,” according to a press release by the Titans.
“TVS is unbelievably proud to be a part of the formidable team bringing this transformational New Nissan Stadium to life,” said Robert O’Keefe, principal, TVS. “This project is primed to become the premier destination for some of Nashville’s most exciting sports, entertainment and community events for decades to come.”
Groundbreaking for the new stadium is expected to occur in the coming months, with an anticipated opening in 2027.
Besides the NFL team, the stadium will host Tennessee State University games and other sporting, entertainment, and civic events. The Music City Host Committee is working on booking the Super Bowl, 2031 NCAA Men’s Final Four, and college football National Championship at the new stadium, as previously reported by The Tennessee Star.
Last August, the team also opened a waitlist for fans to purchase luxury suites, premier seats, and reserved permanent seat licenses for the new stadium.
