The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released newly recovered Nest doorbell video and surveillance images showing an armed individual outside the home of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of “TODAY” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, who was reported missing on February 1.
Guthrie, 84, was dropped off at her home outside Tucson, Arizona, on the night of January 31 and was reported missing around noon the next day.

The new images and videos, released Tuesday, ten days after Guthrie was reported missing, show an individual wearing gloves, a ski mask, and a backpack appearing to tamper with the front door camera at Guthrie’s home on the morning of her disappearance.
FBI Director Kash Patel said the footage was recovered after eight days of joint work by the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from private sector partners.
Patel said investigators were attempting to retrieve images and video that had been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to multiple factors, including the removal of recording devices from Guthrie’s residence.
The video was ultimately recovered from residual data located within backend systems, Patel added.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department released the same statement as the FBI regarding the surveillance images and said there is no additional information available at this time. The Sheriff’s Department also said no press briefing is currently planned.

Savannah Guthrie shared the images of the potential suspect on Instagram, writing, “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home.”
Law enforcement officials are asking anyone with information related to the case to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit tips through tips.fbi.gov.
